I just got this email/txt from USCIS : On March 28, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

My question is it only says this for the I485 what about the AP and EAD? Will we be getting the EAD/AP in the mail or his greencard? I am confused as to what they are sending and does this mean we wont have an interview?

I am not really sure about the interview, but once you got the green card, you do not need the EAD/AP.

can you check on the USCIS website? one of your application should have moved to card production. Is there the MSC number in you text/e-mail?

anyways I think this is great news for you! You may not have an interview as you were transfered to the CSC. THis is double good news(even if they can still ask for an interview but the probability is low).

Quick question to everybody, how did you apply to AOS ? everybody's based on a K-1?

No, I am adjusting from J-1 with the 2 year rule applying. But I got the waiver!

Ok people now at about 6pm I got a second txt that said this: On March 28, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.

What is ADIT? Does this mean we are approved...I am just so confused with the verbiage....

Now it says online that "the I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office" -- Now I'm wondering if it was transferred back here to Iowa? Anyone else that's been transferred, can you verify? I'm not worried if we have to have an interview... but it would have been nice to not have one...

I wasnt expecting to be approved so fast.....I am still a little confused because I received yet a third txt msg in the middle of the night.....needless to say something has been approved all the txt msg came in on the I485 receipt number so looks like we may have the greencard before EAD/AP which we wont need once we get the greencard anyway. Whatever the case maybe I count it all joy and blessings

Oh ok, so you can adjust if you have stayed a sufficient amount of time? You cant marry the first 3 month unless you have a k-1 that's right?

no it's normal, you received first a notice that it is sent to CSC, then the text you quoted is the one you receive when CSC is working on it. So it is not transferred back. If you receive third one, then it will be a transfer.

Walked in for a biometrics at Woodside, NY today and it went successfully. I was almost rejected since my initial appointment was April 22 and received the appt letter yesterday.

It was worth the try.

All the best to everyone waiting for this journey to be done.

Thank you and yes I heard you can walk in after you receive the bio appt letter but not all ASC allow you to walk in early but if you dont live too far from the ASC it is worth the try Good Luck!!!
