Please, educate me.

So one weapon can be more dangerous than another?

No Slim, these things are not secrets that you can't find out for yourself, and as a gun owner you should know something about it.

The single most troubling thing for me as regards gun ownership in American is the complete trivialization of the whole concept of owning and shooting a gun. These are not toys or fashion accessories, you do not need one that matches every outfit. If you have no more reason to own a gun than be able to boast about it, you have no need of one.

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Fail to grasp and refuse to accept are two different things. When 97% of sheeple choose to buy into a false hope, I won't be among them. I refuse to be. Not that I don't understand them, I refuse to join them.

Sounds like you are advocating an armed revolution. You do know that is not the intention of the 2nd amendment, and I would wager that your probation officer would look down on that.

Um yes. Just like one car can be faster than another. Or one diamond be brighter than another. Or one can of beans be tastier than another.

Are you really this dim?

How do I hide behind the Second Amendment?

Every time you talk about guns being used as a way to protect us from the guvmint. And that right being more precious than the responsibility of a a society to not willy-nilly allow nutters to guns.

Our journey together on this earth has come to an end.

I will see you one day again, my love.

Why is everyone having a mob mentality towards slim? We can all resort to disagreeing without people calling each other stupid. It's a difference of opinion, nothing more. What do you all expect...for slim to finally say 'ok, you're right I'm wrong'? It's silly. He never will, you never will, so why do it?

Seems like an exercise in futility to me. Not to mention incredibly rude to constantly call someone stupid because (s)he has a different POV. *shrug*

some find it easier to attack the poster rather than have an exchange of dialogue.

Isn't the whole p&r forum an exercise in futility?

A guy gets ridiculed because he has a wacky opinion that makes no sense and is clearly based around BS semantics to avoid any actual discussion.

At the end of the day its all entertainment to the people who post in the thread.

some find it easier to attack the poster rather than have an exchange of dialogue.

Some find it easier to hide behind snide comments rather than say what they really think. Mr moderator.

In point of fact, slim isn't having "an exchange of dialogue" either. In fact, he is adopting this semantic ####### precisely to avoid doing that.

Personally, i'm curious as to the selective nature of the criticism.

You embarrass and discredit those who take more moderate positions with a similar point of view.

I don't post for them. They're free to post their own opinions.

Please post your criteria on what makes something dangerous. Also, what makes something "more" dangerous.

I'll play your game. Just let me know the rules.

Sounds like you are advocating an armed revolution. You do know that is not the intention of the 2nd amendment, and I would wager that your probation officer would look down on that.

I'm not surprised you misunderstand what I'm advocating since you misunderstand most of my other posts as well. Why fight an amred revolution when you can vote?

Also, being on probation doesn't stop me from having an opinion, even if you disagree with it. I still have that right, afterall.

Once again, explain the rules of your game. What makes something more dangerous than something else? (I am that dim.)

Liberty isn't "willy-nilly." And society's responsibility? You've got to be joking! We can't even take care of our own neighborhoods without paying someone to do it for us. How on earth could we keep nutters from having guns?

He doesn't dialogue because it takes skills you learn in university to do that

Yep. Absolutely no way I could've learned that in the course of my life outside of university.
