Admitting guns make murder easier is not a betrayal of the sacred 2nd Amendment Slim.

Admitting people cause crime, and not inanimate objects, is not a betrayal of common sense.

Aren't they both true?

Yes, a gun is an inanimate object and therefore incapable of rendering violence without being operated by a human being (or a really intelligent orangutan). This is true.

But it is also true that a man with a gun can do more damage more easily than a man with a baseball bat.

It depends on the man.

There goes the stupid again.

Slim, I suggest you read up on the history of weaponry and find out why guns produced a revolution in warfare, what exactly the introduction of the gun changed. Clearly you don't know or you would not be wriggling like a fish in air on this one.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Please, educate me.

Don't bother, the guy will never admit that the gun is a more dangerous weapon

So one weapon can be more dangerous than another?

You really need to drop the smoke and mirrors relativism. It is lame

About as lame as the "guns are dangerous" talk.

Some posters have suggested that some people be stripped of their 2A rights even if there's nothing to indicate they're mentally unstable. Do you support that?

Slim, you don't seem to quite grasp how a society functions, or a government operates. Your rights are not absolute, nor are they infallible. If you prove to be a dangerous member of society, then you will be stripped of some of your rights that effect the rest of society, or they will simply cull the herd. You might want to read Leviathan, you might not look so ignorant or foolish when you post this sort of trite.

if i did, i'd just quote you. ;)

and you're here. imagine that.

Nice to see moderators trolling and baiting.

You might want to read Leviathan,

You might want to read the constitution. Try the Declaration of Independence too. It's a good ol' good one!

You might be surprised what rights you actually have.

Slim, you just don't get it. You fail to grasp even the most basic concept of a society, or even government.

Fail to grasp and refuse to accept are two different things. When 97% of sheeple choose to buy into a false hope, I won't be among them. I refuse to be. Not that I don't understand them, I refuse to join them.

Slim, you are certainly consistent! But most of us as we go down the road of life find that sometimes the road bends and we need to bend with it. Staying straight on course may just plunge you into a ravine! You have stretched your arguments well beyond their ability to continue making sense to rational minds. Few truths remain true when taken to extremes! You embarrass and discredit those who take more moderate positions with a similar point of view.

Slim, it's like you are on an icy road. Once you try to overpower the situation and begin to slip, you completely lose control and crash if you don't back off on the throttle! Same thing here. Moderation can be a good thing!
