I wouldn't personally bother with fb messages or cards for a case of married people. Also, the evidence suggested on the I-130 does not specifically state photos, and the interview letter you will get does specifically state they want to see photographs. A lot of people include them in their petition, but personally don't believe it is necessary, and would just bring them to the interview. Focus on the things listed in the I-130... lease, affidavit, and gather new evidence (bank acct) once you can. Good luck.

AOS for my husband

I wouldn't stress too much on trying to create initial evidence when you don't have the tools to do it. If you don't have a SSN you can't open a bank account and you can't get an ID.

Send whatever you have for now on and don't worry, you will have the opportunity to work more on these once you get the EAD and SSN. You will have an interview anyway and you will have to bring all your proofs then.

As obtaining your EAD/SSN might take up to 3 months, I would advice you to look into obtaining an ITIN number so you and your spouse could file the 2010 taxes jointly. That would be a valuable proof for your interview and they will ask for it anyway. Good luck!

I hope this helps. I didn't have an SSN but we were able to open an account with CHASE. My husband showed his passport & driver's license and my passport. We told them that we were going through immigration and as soon as I have my SSN we'll supply them with the number and they opened the account for us.

Also, get at least 3 people that can issue an affidavit. Letter & cards you both gave each other [ Christmas & birthdays], if you have airline tickets for vacations you took submit that too [ we did], Emails that you sent each other & gifts that you exchanged. I was advised to arrange our photos scrapbook style with captions from the oldest to the newest, but I wasn't really into scrapbooking and so I arranged all our photos using MS Word and had captions under each photo. I placed around 4 photos per letter size page, printed them and that's what we submitted with the I-130.

Like Juliava said, no point stressing on something you dont have. Just evidences you already have that will show them you have a legitimate relationship.

Good luck!! :)

Actually thats what we did but my foreign DL is expired. My only ID is my valid passport. Theyre askin for two forms of ID, but i contacted Bank of America, they told to bring a phone bill under my name as secondary identification, so i hope that'll work. About the photos, we already printed a bunch from CVS. But ur idea using Ms word etc is kinda unique and interesting. :)

Have your landlord sign an affidavit. I am sure the landlord knows you both.

Get a joint Costco/Sam's club membership, you don't need SSN for it.

These 2 are easy and fast to obtain.

No, it's not mandatory to ask your landlord for affidavit, but you can use him as an extra source in case you wonder how to find people to sign another affidavit. You said you already got one from a friend. Well, don't forget: your landlord knows you as well, even though you might not be close friends! So why not using your landlord twice? The rental agreement has nothing to do with the affidavit. :star:
