HELP! WHAT SHOULD WE DO FIRST?

i dont know if this is where i should post but here are my questions. hope somebody can answer me. thanks sooo much.

my status: got here in the U.S. on january 20. will prob get married feb or march

should i apply for SSN & go to a civil surgeon before or after we get married? then file for AOS?

what docs/forms should i bring to apply for my SSN?

will i be getting a "temporary ssn" pending marriage or AOS application?

what docs/forms should i bring to the civil surgeon?

is there a civil surgeon here in patterson, ca? how much do they charge?

In my case, I applied SSN after getting married so I could use my married name. I bring my passport and marriage certificate. You will be able to receive your SSN within 2 to 3 weeks after application. You need to get married first before you could file AOS.

Hi, it's nice to get your SSN now...you'll only have to change status after your marriage...just bring your passport which has the I-94..coz that's the important one! you'll just have to fill up some info where you will get your SSN..don't be in a hurry, you can see a civil surgeon when your ready to file for AOS. follow this link to search for a civil surgeon near you https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=CIV ...goodluck and congratz

mga sis, we moved to patterson about a week ago. so basically our address is now different than the one in our K-1 application. should we do anything about this when it comes to AOS, ssn, & civil surgeon? is there a form that we need to fill out? if so, do we need to submit this together with the AOS docs?
