That depends on whether the consulate will let him in! I would advise emailing them.

The consul will let him in the building of course because he is a USC.

But they may not let him in the interview with you, you may have to spend that 5-10 mins yourself with the interviewer. Then you get to come out and tell him your getting the visa.

For what reason do you think it would not be a good idea?

In high fraud countries it is sometimes considered an asset to have your SO with you at the time of interview. However I can think of no conceivable way it could be a hindrance...

Yes, he wont be allowed into the interview room with you, however take his passport into the interview with you and let the IO know he is right there if any questions need to be asked. Usually he would be allowed into the consulate, but not all of them. Often it is a good thing if the spouse is there. It helps re-inforce that this is a valid strong relationship.

A valentines day interview... Oh I really hope it all goes well for you!!!

Invictus..

Out of the night that covers me,

Black as the Pit from pole to pole,

I thank whatever gods may be

For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance

I have not winced nor cried aloud.

Under the bludgeonings of chance

My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears

Looms but the Horror of the shade,

And yet the menace of the years

Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,

How charged with punishments the scroll.

I am the master of my fate:

I am the captain of my soul.

William Ernest Henley

As a US citizen, he has the right to come into the consulate for his personal needs and get things done. He should go with you because he is the petitioner and to show them that he cares about the case. Who said the petitioners can not come into the consulate? 100% wrong !!! The petitioners can come with the beneficiary but can not interrupt the interview, after the interview he then can come to speak or answer any questions that the interviewee has............Atleast in VietNam has a high chance of fraud and they still let US citizen to accompany. US embassy and consulate beside mainly serve for interexchange between the 2 nations, the second purpose is to serve US CITIZEN...Man, i bet you can even come into the consulate for protections if unexpectedly war corrupts... :D:wacko::devil:

This is absolutely not true. My wife and I both were at the interview and we were both asked questions, although all I was asked for was my passport and most recent tax form. In most cases it is looked upon with great favor that a spouse would travel to be with their spouse for such an emotional day. I suggest to the poster to read the consular reviews of the embassy the interview will be held at for country-specific examples.

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life's passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours!

Hi, candle- your husband is moroccan, but if he has a USC passport, he will be let inside. In addition, in casablanca, there is

no room you enter or sit down for the interview, you stand in front of a plexiglass window , there is a phone on the left hand side if the CO does not hear you from the protective glass. You stand for the interview right in front of the other ppl waiting

for their interview. Everyone hears your answers and nothing is private. Your husband can sit in the waiting room which is right

in front of the CO glass window in which you will be standing when called.

He does have to show his passport at the window outstide the consulate!

The check point to enter the consulate is across the street, once the police check your belonging across the street from the

consulate, you will cross to make the line outside , and give the interview letter to the person at the window outside the

consulate.

Great idea for him to be there if needed to be asked some questions!

Erase the image on how you thought your life would turn out- and start living the life you are living!!
