I hope someone here would enlighten me with my question. I see some of you here says you have done the medical exam but you are still going through the NVC processing. Where/How did you get the required documents for that or there isn't an documents required from NVC for that step? Thanks in advance!

There are some countries where you can get a medical done early if you bring proof of an NVC case number. Most countries don't allow this though.

Don't check with the consulate, tell her to call the place where her medical would take place and see if they can do it without having an interview letter. Good luck!

Whoooo!!!!!...was trying to log in into NVC portal just a while ago and to my surprise Sign In Failed (SIF). Another step closer to be united with my wife and my four month son. This will be a Goodmorning news for my wife.

This may be helpful for someone out there, we were getting a misguided recorded Automated message from NVC indicating there was a RFE issued "for missing documents or incorrect information". After calling and speaking to the operator he assured me that there were nothing missing in our package and that the message was due to our DS-230 being still on hold awaiting to be reviewed.

Grats on the SIF! kicking.gif

And yes, NVC frequently sends out a false RFE for the DS-230. They send it out before checking if the DS-230 is in the system. headbonk.gif

Yeah, NVC really needs to check if the DS-230 has been sent in already before updating the AVR with that message. I'm sure it freaks out a lot of people.

Yes, we got that same thing from NVC a while ago LOL. I called them and said I know I dont have an RFE, I prepared everything perfectly, why is the AVR saying I have a RFE? They said they processed my AOS and everything was good but they still didn't get my IV package. I had conformation from the Post Office that it was delivered. Then NVC said oh yes we have it , disregard the RFE email when I get it. The email was only saying that they processed the AOS blah blah blah and were waiting for me to send in the IV. Anyway, we still get the same recorded message that a letter was sent Jan 27, but I know its just not updating.

So far we are at NVC like 38 days, is that a lot or average? Have to consider that they were slow moving over the Holidays and they were closed due to bad weather for a few days in Jan, so maybe we are not so far off the normal processing times? What you all think? Actually My AOS was reviewed and approved, the operator told me , we are just waiting for the IV to be opened and approved.

I've been keeping a spreadsheet going with NVC processing times. The average right now is 76 days, so you're still below the average and within normal processing times.
