Hello All,

I have a question but I am not sure if this is the right place for it. Apologies to the original poster if my question is out of place.

I have received a check list in an email from NVC two days ago. The email states that I need to send my IV application package (visa application plus civil documents) although I had already sent it and according to USPS tracking system they have received on 3/17/2001 (11 days ago). I am not sure if this is a normal thing at the NVC where a document is at the building but nothing is logged in the system to reflect that. Also why would they send me a check list request if they already have my documents there? I am worried that they somehow managed to misplace it.

Any ideas?

Don't worry about the email you received. As soon as NVC gets your AOS, they send this checklist out for your IV package, without bothering to see if your IV package is in the building yet. Although NVC received your package on 3/17, it takes longer for them to input it in their system, so as far as NVC knows, your IV package isn't there, even though it is, it's just not in their system.

Thanks. Yes they said 5 days, because they deliver it to where you live. I heard some people get it faster if they live within Manila metro area. If you book a flight a couple of weeks after your interview date then you probably will be safe but your taking a chance. If you need to change a flight date most airlines will charge you a fee.
