Same reply to ours.

Matt also called NVC and was told to call back this Friday.

Yeah, I'm calling every day. Even though operators tell me to wait a week or two. No way am I listening to operators headbonk.gif

While waiting for our interview date in 2009 we called NVC late one night and were told by an operator to call back in two weeks (during the infamous "second week of the month time frame" ) because nothing would be scheduled until then. The very next morning I received an email with my interview date. whistling.gif

That's exactly why I'm calling every day!

A similar situation happened when I was waiting for the case number. I called on a Monday, first time calling, and the operator told me that I should wait till next week to call. I called the very next day and I had my case number! From that very first experience I learned not to listen to any timeframes of operators.

I've only been calling a few days for an interview date, and I'm already tired of hearing their line "second week of each month". headbonk.gif I'm so tempted at times to tell these operators I know they're lying. But I hold myself back.

I think that I made a mistake! I sent the DS-230 IV petition to the NVC on Saturday, March 12th. The clerk at the contract postal station (USPS) said that the pick up was in 20 minutes (4:30 PM) and he said that he thought that the priority mail would get there just as quickly as Express mail since it was over the weekend. The packet had to go from Spokane Washington State to Portsmouth, NH at the NVC. At the contract postal station they don't scan the certification for the tracking as they do at the regular post office so I don't know where the package is. I hope it gets there soon (tomorrow). It would have been there yesterday or today (Tuesday) if I had sent it Express.

You expressed mail the package? It's supposed to get to NVC in less than 24hours. If it didn't, get your refund from USPS. We did that back when we mailed our I-130. We got back our $27!!!

I emailed NVC Inquiry over the weekend like calibob did to see if I could get an interview date. Got this tonight in response:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please be advised that we schedule interview appointments based on the capacity of the respective U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. We are unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the designated representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

Oh well. I suppose I'll be patient, lol. It was worth a shot.

Oh, I got exactly the same response

Hello Saylin,

Hope all is well. I wish you get your interview date this week.

Thanks! I hope so too! I just found out that someone from Canada with a CC the day before mine just got their interview today and it's for April 20, so I have a really, really good chance of getting an April interview! *excited*

We got 2 different answers today:

1. call on Friday, we are not done scheduling for April

2. we done with April appointments yesterday, call second week of April

Come on, NVC

Wish everybody interview day sooner!!!

Oh, don't listen to a word those operators say about when to call back and if they've finished scheduling for a certain month. The only thing you listen to from an operator is the interview date when they finally assign it ;)

Just got off the phone with an NVC operator. I was told that no more April interviews are being scheduled and its going to be the 2nd week of May, at the earliest. This kinda confirms that US Embassy in Manila, Philippines only schedule interviews on 2nd week of the month. Can someone confirm otherwise?

Also, I did not get a "case complete" notification via email - I just got that info off the IVR.

Still hoping for an April interview though. Will calling NVC repeatedly help? Any suggestions?
