I am talking about the sealed envelop that you are going to hand carried UNOPENED and should be submitted to Immigration inspector at the US port of entry...if I am not mistaken they will send it before the interview schedule...

I emailed NVC Inquiry over the weekend like calibob did to see if I could get an interview date. Got this tonight in response:

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

Please be advised that we schedule interview appointments based on the capacity of the respective U.S. Embassy/Consulate General. We are unable to predict when an interview will be scheduled.

All documentation necessary to complete the National Visa Center's processing has been received. As soon as an interview date has been scheduled, the designated representative of this case (applicant, petitioner, or attorney) will be notified. The US Embassy or Consulate General may require additional documentation at the time of the interview.

Oh well. I suppose I'll be patient, lol. It was worth a shot.

Great News! All three sputum smears NEGATIVE!! Now to relax (somewhat) and wait for the 2 month culture results. Wow, this was more nerve-wracking than waiting on NOA2!! THANK GOD!!

DanTes: I am a little worried about my wife's medical in Indonesia. I see that it will take 2 months for the culture to come back in the Phillipines for you. My wife is in Jakarta, Indonesia. My DS-230 was just submitted. Should we go ahead and get the medical started now? I looked at the Indonesian Portal but couldn't find that information.

By the way, you can email the NVC inquiry too for your interview date. That's what calibob did. He got a reply within the day he sent the email. God bless!

I see that it takes two months for the medical to be completed (the culture test). Do you know if it is the same time frame in Indonesia? I just submitted my wife's DS-230.

I believe it's only in the Philippines. Since before, I don't know exactly and I don't know if this was a fact, there was a TB epidemic.

Thank you Evieve: I can't find anything about it taking a long time for the medical in Indonesia. Maybe it is a week but the Indonesian Portal is vague and doesn't say directly. It does say that the medical is good for 6 months.

Called NVC for interview date and was told that they are still scheduling interviews for April and was advised to call this Friday.

Called NVC for interview date and was told that they are still scheduling interviews for April and was advised to call this Friday.

Hopefully you will get your interview shortly after your culture results. My wife's culture results are due 8 May. Praying we get CC at NVC this week or early next week, and get her interview scheduled after 8 May.

02/25/2014 - Eligibility date.

03/03/2014 - N-400 package mailed.

03/11/2014 - Check cashed.

03/14/2014 - NOA received.

04/09/2014 - Biometrics.

04/28/2014 - In-Line for Interview - 6 hours later Interview Scheduled!!

05/02/2014 - Interview Letter received. (Mailed on 29 April)

05/26/2014 - 3 year anniversary.

06/02/2014 - Interview. PASSED!

09/11/2014 - Oath Ceremony.

09/16/2014 - Updated driver licence and registered to vote.
