Actually it says to put that info on any additional sheets.

Yeah, that's what I thought. It's not needed at all unless you have additional sheets.

This is making me nervous :( The case number are written in the upper left hand corner of EACH sheet. I hope this won't make any problem. It's making me sad :(

I could be wrong, but I think we are making too much of writing case nr, etc...... on every page of the AOS package. As long as the required documents are included, and you didn't fill it out in green crayon, we should be o.k. That's just my wishful thinking at this point; guess I will know when they receive my AOS package Tuesday or Wednesday. After I submitted my I-130 package back in July, I became paranoid reading the posts here on VJ. I thought FOR SURE I would get RFE's, but didn't. Just relax.......as long as you meet the 125% (or exceed it), then I think the AOS will be accepted with no problems. We have done our best. Place your faith in God, and know that very soon we will all be re-united with our families.

Thanks DanTes, that encouraged me a lot!

They need case number on all pages just in case if anything is misplaced, they'll be able to track it by case number and put it back.

There were also in the AOS sheets. I really hope that was just okay.

Congratulations on the interview date, BTW. From where is your spouse?

Putting the numbers on each page is just a little added insurance "In case" the file gets dropped and pages go flying everywhere. It s not a required step and IMO you will be just fine. good.gif

I agree with OBX--I think it's more of a "just in case" thing, and it's not a big deal. Relax--you'll be fine!!!

Instructions, follow instructions, its a very simple idea lol. Here are some instructions from the NVC , not VJ. I love VJ but when it comes to actually filling up the forms you better check the NVC webpage for the latest UPDATED instructions they have. You don't have to put your case number on every page. Revised on 10-10-2010 here it says for AOS I-864, How Should I Complete This Form?

Department of Homeland Security U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services

OMB No. 1615-0075; Expires 10/31/2011

Print clearly or type your answers using CAPITAL letters.

Use black ink.

If you need extra space to answer any item:

--

Write your name, U.S. Social Security number and the words "Form I-864" on the top right corner of the sheet; and

--

Write the number and subject of each question for which you are providing additional information.

Where does it say Case number? and puting it on every page of the form or supporting documents? AOS is supposed to be filled up by a US Citizen or Resident and should have a SS #. It says if you need to provide any additional information pertaining to a question on the actual I-864 form, then on that sheet write at top right corner your SS# and "form i-864", But i'm sure if you wrote the NVC case number its OK. Here is link to NVC's instructions page for I-864,

http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-864instr.pdf .

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/nvc/nvc_1335.html

I don't see anything on the NVC website that says write your case number on any IV package documents, I just read the whole thing and also the ds-230 form itself. Only thing it says is if you dont have enough space on the form to answer a question then attach an additional sheet of paper and write info on top right corner. Oh, on the back of photos it says to write your name and NVC case number or A# if known. It also says on there website Please don't send any documents that the NVC did not ask for. I notice many people always want to add a bunch of stuffs to make sure they dont get a RFE. Don't do that. Just send in what they ask for. They want a completed DS-230 and with it Birth Cert., Marriage Cert., Police Clearences, 2 photos, photocopy of Bio Page of your passport, DONE. Use Black ink pen, print clear or type . I hate to see any of you get RFE for stuff like this.

i agree... It's not necessary... on 92 pages..? I already told them.. i went through the process and it is NOT.. that's a N.O.T Necessary... it's written no where.. except for if you need to use additional pages.. and if it gets lost .. do you think the "employee" is likely to return it.. heck no.. they want their job as easy as possible.. so it might en up in the shred box.. and the person working on your file just simply CLICK the mouse and the computer puts you in line to receive a RFE. It's Real Simple.

NVC might not mention it on their website, but they do mention writing case numbers in the package they send out about the DS-230. I quoted it yesterday or the day before. But it doesn't mention at all that it's absolutely needed. Writing case numbers definitely isn't a requirement.
