Just called- theyve updated, now theyre saying theyre processing sept. 11th at vsc

How ironic....

That should mean they are processing between Sept 11 to Oct 11 (if they are done in batches like that which i think they are). + The other sept filers not approved yet

Update: Senator Glassman's secretary called me today... It was very nice to be contacted. It turns out that since it is something federal that I had to contact Senator Mikulski, Senator Cardin, and Congressman Harris (Whom I have already E-Mailed, but could not find a contact number for). She was pleasent and provided me with phone and fax numbers to all three! So just a couple minutes ago I sent my letter to all of them. Hopefully this will help the process speed up!

Yes!!! No NOA2 yet (of course) BUT I just got this note forwarded to me from my Congressman's office:

Good Afternoon, Ms. XXXXXX,

United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) records reflect that the Petition for Alien Fiancé (e) (Form I-129F) was received on September X, 2010, and the Vermont Service Center is processing I-129F petitions within approximately 5 months. This case is outside normal processing times and I have approved the expeditious handling of the petition, accordingly. The petitioner should receive notification of action on the case, shortly.

Thank you,

VSC Congressional

So I should hear "SHORTLY"!!! Of course, the VSC's version of shortly could be in the year 2057 (wink wink Al), but I would say that's progress!

Great news!

I got a slightly similar message forwarded to me today from my Congressional Aide:

Good Afternoon, Ms. X,

This case remains pending officer review. If you have not seen action on this case by April 5, 2011, please respond to this email and we'll go about processing the case expeditiously as it will be fully qualified as outside normal processing times by then.

Thank you for your understanding, and patience,

Stephanie

I just had one of the most unhelpful and unpleasant phone conversations with one of these drones. It took all of my strength to respond politely and not lose my patience. She interrupted me several times while I was responding to her questions so that she could read that memorized BS that they are told to repeat. She was lucky I called from work and I could just be all "please & thank you", otherwise I would have given her a piece of my mind. Where do these people get off abusing people ? If you cannot stand the heat of being on the phone all day responding to peoples concerns then a job in Customer Service ain't for you hun !

She ended the conversation with "well ma'am that is why they are called estimates" while I could hear someone whistling in the background. No Sh!t, really ? Too bad on their website it does not say.. well.. maybe 5 months, maybe 6...maybe never; it specifically says Processing Timeframe 5 months. When we pay the fees, it does not say maybe $300, maybe $400, maybe free and when RFEs are sent out their expected timeframes are not magically extended by 30 days when people fail to provide the requested info.

Pardonez the venting but I've had it !

I specifically asked my drone that and she responded that she would not be able to know whether they are processing that date on or up to that date.

Our tax money at work folks ! Thanks for nothing ! :bonk:

Yes, I got the same sugarcoated : " You are within processing times, contact us after 30 days".

If only I could reach over the telephone line, there would be one less trained monkey doing nothing *cough* working for USCIS.

Funny thing is, when I called last week I mentioned what it said on their Processing Times page which denoted "Posted February 14, 2011". I just checked it again, and guess what... "Posted March 14, 2011" AND it still says 5 Months. Wha?!
