Letter - Explanation of Meeting in Person

Does the letter of "explanation of meeting in person" need to written by the petitioner and the finance and signed by both?

Or can it just be written by the petitioner? and only signed by the petitioner?

Does it have to have a specific date we meet or can it just say, for example "meet a couple years ago at a sports event" How detailed does it have to be?

Only the petitioner needs to write such a letter.

Since the requirement is having met in-person at least once in the last two years, I think it is best to be as specific as you can. Using the example you gave, you should write the date that sporting event took place, what the sporting event was, and where.

my fiance wrote it and not very detailed on date.. he just mentioned month/year and its not signed by me

they're both right you don't need to include the exact date just put there the month, year and the place where you met each other and other stuff that you feel like it's necessary for them to know and it's just only the petitioner who needs to sign that Good luck to both of you!!!!!!!!

We just made a timeline like

September 2009- Became classmates in China (see picture 1-dated Sept 2009)

December 2009- Tim spent xmas in Philippines and went island hopping (see pictures 2-5)

March 2010- Tim went back to China to propose(see picture 6 and itinerary of travels)

and so on..

this was just our style though, feel free to organize it your own way as long as you show what you need to show
