Good to hear that it was an error from rather than from USCIS lol(sort of to speak).

But yeah when they do use the update to communicate with u it works wonders and takes a lil of the edge while waiting. Now may not work, but better with it than without I say.

It is weird tho that they still havent even approved u since according to our list everyone on top of your name has been approve. I know it's different for everyone but darn! I would still call them.

I know right.! i was looking at some of the names on the list and though the same thing.. Im Gonna Tell my husband to make the phone call lol.

Agreed! I think that they should also state that their system is unreliable and some people may not get updates in a timely manner or even at all but I doubt they'll do that :lol:

Yeah you got that right JeremyR. My original I-130 status is still showing "pending" according to the USCIS website. And also I did receive an "Approval Notice" notification email from CRIS on my I-485 status last summer... Roughly a year and half AFTER I was already approved and had already received my conditional green card lol.

Talk about reliable smh...

But this time so far it has been working for my ROC case, email and text alert. Seems they are getting better at updating...

Well another touch, update from the USCIS:

"The USPS reported that they picked up mail from USCIS containing your new card on September 8, 2011. You should receive your new card within 7 days. If you do not, or if you move before you get it, please call our customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

Waow I have to admit I am impressed by how thourough they are with this update system this time around. I didn't believe it earlier when I saw someone saying that USCIS "touched" saying the USPS had notified the mail was delivered, but I guess they really are improving... Now if only they could get the processing times down tha would be awesome. Guess my card should be here today or Monday... Crossing fingers

Svetlana got her approval letter on Wednesday. She was expecting a green card and did not even know that she would get a letter first, so she didn't even bother to tell me about it (I just started a new job in Charlotte, while she is still in Florida until the sale of our house closes in a couple of weeks).

So add BTALLEY to the approved list. Hope the card comes to Florida before we move out of the house for good.
