Well I've been approved since the 25th of August and yet still no card. I wonder what is the difference between people being approved and receiving their card within a week and us still waiting 2weeks and counting lol. But I'm not worried my card has indeed been extended for a year and I plan on applyin for Citizenship in December.

As long as I know Im approved Im fine, some people are stil waiting to hear a thing.

Labor Day, probably - slows the mail down, government workers get a day off, causes a small backlog which takes a few days to clear again.

Also, where is the card production facility? If they're done in-house at Vermont or anywhere in New England, perhaps they're down on staff, power or have any number of other problems post-Irene?

Well whadyaknow lol just received this text (today 09/07/11)from USCIS(guess phone updates do work, as well as email) saying:

"On September 6, 2011, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

I guess I should be expecting something soon...

hello everyone, i haven't being around in months.. but just wanted to let u know that after i got the biometrics i havent receive anything 5 months since then. Today i went to the USCIS site to check my status and this is what i get : your case can not be found at this time in My Case Status. Please check your receipt number and try again.

Hey Alaskan, sorry to hear that.. But didn't sign up to receive alerts about your case? Created a portfolio with your receit(s) numbers?

Also have you tried that receipt number before and was it showing anything at all? That is odd tho... Maybe just a glitch?

That's a good point - your NOA1 date is the 'right' side of the line so call them up and firmly ask for a service request (by 'firmly', I mean don't take no for an answer )

Just have the receipt number that's on your extension letter on hand....

It is true Alaskan the 14 processing line is in your side you have applied the 4 of february so you are before that line so you can go for your SR.

Did you try the receipt number from your Bio letter?

because my receipt from the NOA1 doesn't work either on USCIS website, but the Bio receipt number works.

Also, when you call for a SR, you might need both receipt number.

Thanks everyone for the answers . I have checked before with the receipt number on the extension letter like a month ago or so and the only thing that said was they sent me the letter for the bio nothing else.. So I'm going to call then.

Well the number to check your current status is the number on the biometrics appointment letter, not the one on the extension letter. Try with the Biometrics receipt number.
