Guess we were in the same processing batch!

I have a friend who is also a Feb filer, and just talked to her this morning, she said she got the approval letter in the mail today (her NOA1 date is around 2/23).

So that was just over a week from request to approval? I'm minded to file one tomorrow morning, I think...

Here is a small tip how to get to talk to a person

you first choose English/Spanish

then choose the option that you are currently an applicant

then choose "report a problem on the case" -- then you will be transferred to a Level 1 CSR who can setup the SR for you.

If you mean a paper receipt, like an NOA or something then unless things have changed since AOS, no, you don't. You might (and I stress the "might"!) get an email from case status online that processing has resumed. I got two RFEs during AOS and got an email for the first one and didn't get one for the second. I cannot begin to tell you how stressed out I got about that! (case status got 'stuck' on RFE sent as the deadline for responding came and went...)

If you've got proof of delivery from the USPS or whatever, that's probably about as good as you're gonna get...

Thanks JeremyR, I guess I'm just a lil frustrated because I'll be leaving the country at the end of next month to Thailand and with just my expired GC and NOA1 I'm afraid that I will have the problem with the immigration overthere. (as I have a friend who just traveled to Thailand with the same documents and they almost didn't let her board the plane)

What should I do? Any suggestion?

I called for a SR and they said it can not be done because they still processing feb 14, we will have to wait until they are processing the 17 and on.
