thanks..here is what i am including with the rfe...please provide your feedback

• Certificate of deposit letter with both names

• driver's license copies stating same address on both

• 3 notarized affidavits of father in law, mother in law and maternal uncle in law

• Letter from Bank confirming date the account was opened and when i was added to the account. (as requested in the RFE)

• Checking and savings account statement from Bank showing detailed monthly transactions since June 2009

• auto Insurance payment transaction history confirming premium was paid in full (as requested in the RFE)

• Retirement account showing i as 100% beneficiary

• 2008, 2009, 2010 fiscal year tax return with 1099’s, W-2 and/or unemployment statement for 3 years confirming jointly filed tax returns

• Itinerary of past vacation to Atlanta, GA

• Itinerary of future trip to Houston, TX

• Photos since May 2009. Each photo indicates date the photo was taken.

• Credit card copies showing same credit card numbers used for day to day transactions

• Y Bank statement for 2 years

• Letter by father in Law confirming residence of my wife and I and why we did not send apt lease or mortagage.

• Photo copy of driver’s license of Father in law to confirm residence

mayanksanghavi, did you file your 2010 tax return early enough to include it in the original packet? If not, that's certainly something solid to include. Also, if you sent tax return (1040) printouts first time, try sending transcripts this time. You can order them in a few minutes on the IRS website and they arrive in the mail about a week later so you might want to order them soon if you're going to include them. The 1040s show what you declared, the transcripts show what the IRS decided so they carry a bit more weight than just the print outs.

Other than that, just flood them with paperwork. Every little thing that shows you together, living together, banking together, no matter how insignificant - let them decide whether it's valuable evidence or not. If you're struggling to find stuff you can use, affidavits from friends might be a good idea, especially if you happen to have a friend who knows you both and is a person of standing in the community like a teacher, police officer, doctor, etc...

If your drivers license expired with your original 2-year GC, include a copy of the new license showing the same address as the old one (and that your spouse's is has the same address). If you've switched insurance companies or cell phone contracts or anything like that, include those too. Also, anything that shows you and your spouse as each others' emergency contact or next of kin.

If you simply can't get something that they asked for on the RFE, include a letter (notorised is always good) signed by both of you explaining why you don't have it. That's what we did (in our initial packet) in lieu of including a joint lease/mortgage because my wife has lived in this house and been the mortgagee for over a decade and adding me to it is not financially sensible.

Just give them what they want. This time get more documents: Insurance, bills, pictures, mortgage papers, bank statements, you can also add some affidavits from people knowing you and wife... be very generous, do not send 2 documents only. If I were you, I will send more tax returns...

If you marriage is legit... do not have to worry.

Some people are selected randomly.

If not legit; time to look for a super-good lawyer.

Marriage is legit so lawyer will not be needed but i plan on sending extra so they can approve me directly

I just checked the USCIS website, and was pleased to see that they ordered production of my hubby's new card on 8/8/11! Please update our timeline. Good luck to everyone still waiting!

Updating KPG's approval
