I just cleaned up the VJ Timeline system (look and feel tweaked) and would like to get member feedback on other areas to tweak! It can be colors, look and feel, or even content or new ideas for VJ features! Let me know!!

Is there a way to tweak the search so that you can find posts easier?

Sometimes I will look for another members posts. I'll remember a key word...

For example: Searching for a post by Rob & Mel with keyword "Reagan".

I get about 5 or 6 threads.

When I click on each thread I might find 15 pages to search through manually....How do I get directly to the page and to the post I want to be at?

Search by posts (vs threads) and it will list the exact post.

When you changed the timelines, I believe something changed for the negative on my timeline. It used to show (as far as I can remember) the I-130 along with the I-485, because we filed concurrently, but now the I-130 is gone, and the I-485 doesn't show total processing time (which people who file this are anxious to know/guess how long it takes). Also, stand-alone I-485s are processed differently than concurrent applications, so I think differentiating was better. Thanks.

can do some db streaming linkage ?

review any portal page, change link info for 'Consulate Information' to be specific linkage, instead of the general 'first letter of the Country Name'

should be a basic php loop/mysql update where... construct.

That should be an easy one . Something like...

create list of all countries...

Select country_names from table group by country_name order by country_name ASC

then populate drop down menu in for loop... basically how the POE/Consulate pages are done .

I will make that change next.

hmmm - try a specific country portal first, as that drop down you mention comes up when yer not homed to a country.

'Consulate Information' link is offcenter, to the right, in a vertical 'list', not a drop down at all. (when at a country page)

'that' list looks like:

Consulate Information

Consulate Reviews

Visa Timelines

each one is a link. 'Consulate Information' link had/has the behavior I described.

hmmm - maybe I'm not being clear.

IN A PORTAL PAGE, that vertical 'list' is there.

One doesn't see a portal page when one isn't 'homed' to a country via the member profile settings. You gots a test account to use, maybe home it to China, for example? Then click 'Portals' - will auto Jump to the China Portal Page - and then you'll see that 'vertical list'.

We were on different pages. Now I see what you are referring to.

Give me 20 mins and I will make the update. I need to list all consulates per country so that will take a few minutes more to craft the code.
