I am not sure if i got you

I am understanding that you will visit your fiancée and you plan to bring your shoes in a travel before your final trip with your k-1 visa? if this is the case, i don't think this is a good idea. because there is a chance to think that you are travelling with no intention to return. Is not usual to travel as a tourist with 30 pairs of shoes. and probably, you will be rejected.

I believe she said that she wanted to send the shoes in advance with her fiance not herself. So that is OK.

PS - because you will most likely have another bag crammed with clothing & other stuff, you might want to put small things

like socks & underwear in baggies inside the otherwise empty shoes which will allow you to cram more stuff into your other

suitcase. I'm sure Imelda Marcos did something like that when she traveled whistling.gif

04/26/2010 - Met in Philippines (for 2 weeks)

05/08/2010 - Officially engaged!! ( He sent the engagement ring 09/24/2010 and he proposed to me on bended knee in Philippines with the second part of engagement ring) *melting*

06/18/2010 - I-129F package Sent

06/21/2010 - NOA1

06/24/2010 - Touched

09/23/2010 - Touched (when I contacted the Congressman's office)

11/15/2010 - Touched (hopefully the approval)

11/17/2010 - NOA2 (Received hard copy 11/22/2010)

12/01/2010 - Received a letter from DOS dated 11/29/2010 stating that the petition will be forwared to USE AD within a week and that I will received the packets very soon from embassy.

01/18/2011 - Interview. APPROVED!!! No words can express how happy i am.

01/25/2011 - VISA in hand! YAY!!!

02/20/2011 - POE Chicago (O'hare)

05/14/2011 - Our Wedding day

Thanks! That is way cheaper then :) In lieu of luggages, I was thinking of just bringing boxes to make room for more stuff. Gotta cram everything in! :)

To Ilovemybaby: Sorry for hijacking your thread. LOL. Yeah, leave the boxes to save space, put stuff inside your shoes to retain their shape. If you go to Saizen in Trinoma (that's near your place right?) they have cheap shoe bags you can buy to protect your shoes from scuffing.

thas fine..hahaha yeah like 15min away from home..

listing my things to bring ;)

August 23, 2010 - I-129 F package sent via USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.

August 30, 2010 - Per Department of Homeland Security (DHS) e-mail, petition received and routed to California Service Center for processing. Check cashed. I-797C Notice of Action by mail (NOA 1) - Received date 08/25/2010. Notice date 08/27/2010.

After 150 days of imposed anxious patience...

January 24, 2011 - Per USCIS website, petition approved and notice mailed.

January 31, 2011 - Approval receipt notice (NOA 2) received by mail. Called NVC, given Santo Domingo case number, and informed that petition was sent same day to consulate.

Called Visa Specialist at the Department of State every day for a case update. Informed of interview date on February, 16 2011. Informed that packet was mailed to fiance on February, 15 2011.

February 21, 2011 - Fiance has not yet received packet. Called 1-877-804-5402 (Visa Information Center of the United States Embassy) to request a duplicate packet in person pick-up at the US consulate in Santo Domingo. Packet can be picked-up by fiance on 02/28.

March 1, 2011 - Medical exam completed at Consultorios de Visa in Santo Domingo.

March 9, 2011 at 6 AM - Interview, approved!

March 18, 2011 - POE together. JFK and O'Hare airports. Legal wedding: May 16, 2011.

just specified so i know what to do with them..like rubber shoes i dnt hve to put somethng on it coz no deformity issue :P lol

yah he dont mind my shoes..he said buy alot now coz i wont be able to find my shoe size there. hehe

Sure, it is ok to send your shoes with him. You only have to be careful because moving 30 pairs of shoes Is more expensive than buying new ones.

And probably you are going to need more than two suitcases.
