it has been a while since nobody did any updates! anybody, tell us your status, im still waiting 6 months and counting

i find myself in a different kind of limbo... post interview decision... bleh!!!

it'll be 1 month on the 25th. i hope i dont have to involve congressmen ... and we're supposed to go home in october to have another wedding for my family and friends there... fingers crossed!!

wishing all of us here some good news soon...

probably you will get it before then.. usually it takes less than 90 days and usually they take care of it withing 1 to 2 months so your ok for October. good luck!!

I hope you right, I don't if I need to ask for an Infopass, or call USCIS or just wait, it's a little bit frustrationg to do not have news,

I am looking the bright side, I got my ead card, and thanksgod I got a job....

h4kim, where are you working? i've been looking but still can't find anything. been on a bunch of interviews and everything. bleh!... trying to look for something in my field (statistics) but it's not that easy. probably gonna have to settle for something part time. bummer.

working in Manhattan, unfortunately today to find a job there is no magic solution, to have a "network" it is the only way to find something faster

well we've had our interview already. on the 25th of may and the dude just said they have to do additional background checks and then we should be all set so we're waiting for that. it's been just over a month now . trying to be patient and forget about it. *breeeeathe*

Hey everybody! Im kinda new here, I was just reading some of the posts to relieve my anxiety! I am 19! And already growing white hairs off of this! but anyway, this is my situation. In 2007, my dad filed as a resident for me and my sister. It got approved and we received the approval notice. the case was sent to nvc and we were issued a visa # Unfortunately, a lot of people were having problems with that because that meant the beneficiaries had to go back to their country and proceed with the process but sometimes the people interviewing them had problems with them and denied their petition (it is true, one of my closest friends is also from my country and ALMOST was denied). So we were advised by a lawyer to wait until my dad became a citizen so we didn't have to leave. Well, turns out my dad took his oath last week and we sent a copy of his certificate to the nvc. We called USCIS and they told us we had to file I 485 along with the other needed documents to the Chicago Lockbox. We have everything ready, all we need is the results of the medical examination which we will receive on Friday, then send the same day to the Lockbox. I live near the Oakland Park office so Im sure they will transfer the case there. My concern is, is my priority date the day my i 130 was approved? (2007)...or the day they approve the i 485?

Please help me answer that question!

My anxiety is building up.

By the way, both my sister and I are under 21, and qualify for the freeze of age, or whatever it is called...

Since my i 130 was already approved, will the process be faster????

oh! And will I get an interview? Or is that only for marriage-based applications? I have my doubts too haha!
