Ok first off we met in tagged.com however we talked only a couple of days there and went straight to yahoo im. Which I can provide about 6 months worth of yahoo. We both canceled tagged accounts because we didn't have any use for it anymore. Do we need to prove our tagged? So far this is what we are going to have for evidence yahoo ims, skype, text messages, engagement ring receipt ($800) plane ticket, pictures.....

Is that going to be enough?

Also how much do I have to show for yahoo IMs? I mean there is some private chats (assuming you know what I mean by "private" :P ) we would like to leave out. Also like any normal couple we have had arguments and kissed and made up. Should I leave those in? Or only show enough so it seems like we are happy happy joy joy all the time?

Are we showing our life story or how much is enough?

You are allowed to redact private conversation from the transcripts. Give them the rest.

But there is such a thing as overkill, as a CO is not going to spend an hour reading your communications. I heard of a case (not on VJ but elsewhere) where the alien brought too many e-mails and the CO would not even touch one, insisting that she call the USC immediately and have him fax 5 or 6 e-mails to the consulate.

1-2 chats from every other month.

You have no cards or packages or things that were sent physically to each other? Just internet/text stuff?

Your I-129f was approved in 5 days from your NOA1 date.

Your interview took 67 days from your I-129F NOA1 date.

AOS was approved in 2 months and 8 days without interview.

ROC was approved in 3 months and 2 days without interview.

I sent her flowers and she sent me money for glasses that I can prove. I sent her a bracelet and a postcard she still has both. I know she has the bracelet but we can't prove that was from me unless she kept the package.

Depending on where she is interviewing having all electronic evidence might be an issue at the interview.

Well I think she kept the postcard, card and maybe the package I sent with the bracelet. I kept the Western Union receipt for when she sent me money. She also has been keeping her flowers fresh or trying to. She put one in a zip lock. :P

We will meet in April. I jumped the gun on the plane ticket and pictures but we will have them. :)

Interview will most likely be in Jordan.

Evidence of an ongoing relationship is not needed until the embassy interview.
Front-loading of petitions, especially in the face of dealing with a tough embassy (or any in a third-world country), can fend off MANY problems at the consular stage.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

I genuinely believe people worry too much about chat records. We sent none with our 129f. We've gone with boarding passes, passport stamps, hotel reciepts and pictures of us together. Chat records can easily be faked so I'd be very suprised if they carry much weight anyway

Pls don't include those "private" messages of the two of you :P just keep it private if you know what I mean ;) we just send 12emails with corresponding respond to each of them enough to prove our 1 year and 6months on going relationship :) I bet the CO will be bored to read like 1,000 worth of emails or chat just for one couple :P, we also include 12 pictures of us together from his two trips to visit me, plane tickets, boarding pass, receipts of my engagement ring, bank transfer, snail mails (postal cards) and hotel vouchers...if she still have the receipts of the flowers that you sent then include it :) they won't require you to bring the original flowers :P those stuff are enough to prove your relationship is genuine ;) I hope this will help you in the future!!! Good Luck!!!

I agree. We relied on pictures, passport stamps, tickets, we had a few emails and letters and I took a screenshot of us both chatting in Skype. I did have a certificate proving we both went to school together. Oh and you can use skypelogview to download your skype records which might help! I never printed our chats though.. too personal :) Oh we also had both our parents write a letter stating that they supported and knew of our relationship, and I think it helped :)

You have to prepare differently for Africa,Asia,MENA and Russia than you do for Europe. There is a higher assumption of fraud and a higher level of proof required. Also the only thing a consulate can deny you for is something NOT known to USCIS. So if you front load the petition they have a harder time deny for anything other than the absurd. No consulate will allow electronic evidence. Electronic devices are not allowed and the officers are not allowed to load/attach any unknown source to their computers.

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

This is exactly why I said having all electronic evidence as the base of the case may be an issue for the place that the interview will be held at.

Chats, emails and texts can be easly doctored and faked. The embassy's and USCIS know this.
