RFE lost in the mail?

I got an email from USCIS stating that a RFE responded to me on Aug.17,2006. 13 days past and I've still got nothing. Is that normal? I called 800 twice, once a lady asked me who told you you need more evidence? I cant see in my computer. Another lady told me I have to wait till Sep.17 2006 then call them. What should I do now?

You can make a infopass appointment and go to your local office.... they will be able to get it resent....

To make a infopass appointment go to the USCIS website there is a link there...

Arrange an infopass meeting asap otherwaise you will end up like me and have to wait 6 weeks before you receive the rfe. They can ring or email lee's summit and get the rfe sent to you again.

Yeah do Infopass at once. They will give you a fax of the RFE so that you can respond to it asap.

My only advice is follow the advice given here and make an infopass appointment as soon as possible and forget about the 1800 number… you might as well ask your dog or cat to have your document resent, you’ll get more of a response in my opinion!

I’d also advise having your last name displayed clearly on both sides of your mail box or on the inside and to ensure the post office knows you live at your current address. I had my EAD returned to USCIS simply because my last name didn’t appear on the mail box… I’m lucky it was just an EAD not an RFE or an AOS interview notice or worse again a green card!

I called the 1800 number nothing happened.. no EAD resent as far as I could tell.. so we made an infopass appointment and approx 2 weeks later we had the EAD.. a grand total of 2 months had passed since the card was issued until I finally received it in the mail.

Our RFE was lost. The 800 number couldn't tell us what it was. Niether could the officer at infopass. He requested it to be resent and we ended up sending a letter to the NBC to have it resent.

You need to make an infopass appointment at your local office to request the RFE be resent.... you can not fax the service center yourself...
