Hi, my wife came from Ecuador under k1 visa, now we are trying to adjust status base on marriage. The doctor in Ecuador did not provide us with the vaccination supplement and now we need to know what we need to do in order to successfully adjust status with out getting any rfe. What should I do. I know some people have experienced this and can give me some guidance I live in nj the civil surgeons are asking for 180 and 200 dollars is that reasonable or too much. They are also asking for documentation from uscis but we have none since we are trying to be proactive before getting rfe's please help... thank you

I payed 35$ for my 693 paper to be transcribed and signed by a civil surgeon in the USA for AOS.

If your medical is over a year old you will have to have a full new medical. If not you only need the vaccination portion filled and signed by the civil surgeon.

Did you send it with the 485 application or did you wait for Immigration to ask for the document. Is that the only document you submitted? where do you live if in NJ which doctor so I can go to the same doctor.

Thank you for the info

I sent in all the paper work for my husband's AOS- I-485, 131, 765, all of it except the 693. At that time we didn't have anything to send for the medical forms, hadn't yet gone to the civil surgeon, and didn't have any proof of his vaccinations at that time, so we just decided to send everything else and wait for the RFE. They never sent us an RFE. We got a request for biometrics, and we went to that. Then we received the notice for my husband's interview. In that letter was a checklist of things to bring, and one of them was the I-693 if you hadn't already sent it in. In the meantime, we received a document from my mother-in-law that showed the vaccinations my husband had received as a baby. Basically he had been given just a couple and has to get a shot for tetanus and MMR. He also had to do the TB skin test.

As far as prices go, we didn't have many options. All of the civil surgeons worked for the same clinic chain, so we ended up paying $180 for the appointment and are getting the shots and stuff through our insurance. Good luck!
