I noticed that in the Timelines for our petition (1R1/CR1) the Armenian Consulate is shown.

I am a US citizen and my wife is Japanese. The petition is in the California Service Center.

Can someone tell me why another country's consulate is in charge of our petition?

If I misunderstand, please explain. I don't care who processes it, just as long it is done and

is valid. Also, any guess on the time to the interview?

I guess I'm confused by your question, your petition (according to your timeline) hasn't even reached a consulate yet, what consulate did you list on the I130?

Good luck

Thanks for your reply. I did a timeline search for all the beneficiaries from Japan, (my wife's country). I saw that our petition

had the consulate listed as Armenian. The others said Tokyo.

Again, what consulte did you list on the I130? If your petition says Armenia, did you list Armenia on your I130?
