well i got a letter from the us consualte that they need my BC. i had explained them before that i cant get it since it was never registered. how can i provide if i dont have one thing. what do you think would they deny my visa for the fault or mistake which was never done by me?

i remember reading somewhere, in the case of no birth certificate, to send in a record of schooling, or enrollment? Sorry I cant be of more help , but might be something for you to look into...

I read about a VJ who also didn't have a birth certificate and the consulate accepted statements written by their mother and aunt with the date of birth, just like the one mentioned on the link shalz provided above:

"An affidavit executed by either the parents of the applicant, if living, or other close relatives older than the applicant, all of whom must have personal knowledge of the birth, may be submitted. The affidavit should set forth the relationship between the deponent and the applicant, how well the deponent knows the applicant, how the deponent came to know about the facts to which he or she is swearing, date and place of applicant's birth both parent's names, and the mother's maiden name and any other related facts."

I just had a read of that link, seems useful . Make sure you print a copy of it and sent it back with your RFE if you choose to follow any of the suggestions.!

If they sent you a RFE, give them copies of everything that you sent them before, with a note that they are replacements for the originals sent.

Hi! I know how it feels about not being able to produce the embassy required documents. But don't worry too much.

It's possible (i'm not sure what country you're in) to have your BC registered late. Just find out what documents you need to file a late registration.

Then make a copy of the complete set and bring it with you to you interview (together with your registered BC).. they can be your supporting docs for the late registration.

My BC was registered late also.

I have also heard that the baptismal record is acceptable, but you should definitely call the consulate and inquire about your options.

I'm not sure if it's like in Thailand.. we have a "House Registration" and in it says who's the father, mother and the date of birth and might have even a place of birth in there.. If y ou have something like this may be you can have that as a proof?

THANK you very much all of you for your kind kind advices. Definatly I would follow your advices. I have talked with my lawyer. She said affadavit from parents would be good and she would send a letter to the consulate. they(embassy) can be a.hole but we would keep united and do everything to fight these red-tape hurdles.
