Quick Question about GC

Hello all,

After the EAD arrives, how long does "Normally" takes to receive the GC or at least an update. It has been 30 days since my wire received the EAD but the GC has not been touched. We are also approaching the the 5 moth mark since the beggining of the AOS process.

It depends entirely on where your I-485 is being processed. If it's at the California Service Center then it generally takes a little longer (that's the downside), but you usually don't end up being interviewed (that's the upside). If it's at a local field office then it depends on how backlogged the field office is.

My wife and I were interviewed at the San Francisco field office. She received her EAD five days before the green card interview, so obviously we were notified about the interview several weeks before she received the EAD.

I got my GC 5 months after the EAD and AP. I got impatient so I called my congressman, and 2 days later the card was approved!

WOW!!! it took 5 months after the EAD, that's a long time. Normally i would not be so impatient, but I work overseas and my wife used to work overseas with me, and now she just got offered her old job back. I hope the GC comes soon so she can join me.. Thanks for all the replies...
