Maybe a stupid question, but what time of month does BKK embassy usually schedule the next month and let people know about it by personal email?

I'm not sure they EVER let people know by personal email...

Damn, prices from Bkk to the U.S. (ORD specifically) are expensive now. A lot more expensive then a couple years ago. I'm seeing lowest prices in the 1500s. Anyone seen anything cheaper? I'm picking weekday dates, but I'm guessing the time between the flights is a factor (5+months).

I've been flying over almost every month and the best prices lately are almost always about 1-3 weeks in advance. I'd hold off for a while.

They do now. That is how you get packet 4/interview date and time. Ni-ing, any word yet on the interview date? How is Ice? Is he feeling better?

I'm not sure if they do this in every case, but it seems to be quite common, at least since mid-2009.

Ice's flooding situation isn't great...he and the owner of the apartment are the only ones living in that area now. Ha. But he is surviving.

Skylane got an interview date, but we still haven't heard anything yet. I called the DOS and they said we should expect something near the end of this month or early Dec. Kind of depressing. Ice might have to spend new years in a flooded apartment by himself. :(

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

Here we go. Man does this stink to high heaven. Everytime something like this happens, it just blows me away. Not sure why I'm surprised anymore.

I've seen Mr T. go ask the king before for help, only to see him on TV in tears when he didn't get it. I hope the same thing happens this time.

I hope so to. If he does get an amnesty it has been in the works for a while and before the PTP took control. http://atimes.com/atimes/Southeast_Asia/MF30Ae01.html

I can't wait for Dec. 5th. I think square head and his sister are going to be very disappointed.

He got shot down back in 2006. I remember seeing him crying on TV when he went to the palace and didn't get the royal endorsement. Bhumibol may be an old man, but he's not gonna go for this one.

Yeah, I really hope the pardon does not happen. I remember when the PTP campaigned back in May and June of this year and one of their big things they promised is they would fight against drugs. Now some of the news that I have read in english about the pardon they want is to release people with less then a 3 year prison sentence, over the age of 60, sentenced because of corruption or DRUGS. If the pardon comes to pass what are they going to do, have a war on drugs against the people they just set free?

No.

The "pardon" is specifically written for Sponge Bob Square Head.

I would fall on my knees and kiss the closest soi dog on the lips if any other's beside SBSH were released or "pardoned" as well.

It is a total sham and a good "up in ya" to the Thai people.

I guess he doesn't read the news or has some pretty sad advisors.
