Ni-ing, I just talked to Pui and she lived near the new airport. When she went to order her police report she took the airport link all the way to Phaya Thai and then took the skytrain to either Siam or Chit lom because it is located in the middle of the two and then walked from there. I tried to get a link from google maps but I could not get one but I just did a search of "royal thai police, rama 1" and it is the first one that list. Here is the skytrain/airport link map http://www.bts.co.th/customer/en/02-route-current.aspx. To get the report it is free, for them to mail it to Ice he might have to slip them some baht for them to mail it to him otherwise he will have to return to pickup the report when they have it.

Yeah that is exactly right. It's 6 of one half dozen of the other.

Here's the link in Thai. Sometimes the want $, sometimes they don't.

Thanks so much! This helps a lot!

But why will they not mail it to him? That is kind of annoying....how much do you think he will "pay" them to mail it? >_<

Also, in the list of things to bring, it says "2x2 in photos." That is required? The photos he has are 1x 1.5 in

Currently.... they have issued Ice the incorrect GC and we have tried 4 times to fix it. First time they had us send it to the incorrect address. Second time they said we used an expired form, which was the form they gave us. Third time was "oh sorry we lost the last page, can you send it again?." Fourth time is the gov is shut down. Will this ever be corrected in time for Ice to get the permanent GC? Stay tuned to find out. T_T

I'm guessing since you went in to order the report they are expecting you to pick it up. They took Pui's pics when she was got her report back in March. I'm not sure how much people have paid to have it sent to them, Pui went back 2 or 3 weeks later and picked hers up since it was not hard for her to return and pick it up. As Karee said some people have not paid to have it sent to them.

We're only going in to order the report because when he called them they told him that he is required to come in if he wants to get it. They won't accept by mail. :/

I wonder if they he will have to make an appointment?

I was wondering if anyone here knows of an online electronics store in Thailand that I could order an iPod Nano for my fiance and have it sent to her home address in Prachin Buri. I was looking online and could not find one, so I thought I would ask here. I would just get one here and send it to her, but only about half of any letter or package I send to her actually makes it. Plus I wanted her to have it sooner and I thought that shipping it from Thailand to Thailand might not take as long. I did try the online Apple store for Thailand, but they ship out of singapore and their estimated delivery time was like two weeks. It would have been quicker to buy it and send it from here.

My fiance is a farmer and she likes to listen to her iPod while she works. However hers broke and now she does not have one to listen to. I told her to go get another one but there is no place near where she is at.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I'm looking for some apartments in the 4,000 baht per month range, either in Chiang Mai or the outskirts of BKK.

While I am waiting for a responce from some people who have apartments, I looked up Airport Residence Chiang Mai Apartments. I saw a mix of good and bad reviews. Does anyone know about the noise in that area? I just don't want it to be like last time when I went to Chiang Mai and our apartment was right next to a night club and we couldn't go to sleep until 2AM.

I figured I should check out the outskirts of BKK too because he has to go there for the interview eventually anyway. But I don't know if there are any places that are nice and only 4,000 baht per month. :/

There was a place north of Chiang Mai that was 2k a month. Doi Saket. Pretty basic though.

3,500 per month is pretty good! How was the noise at night?

Sure, that would be great. I'm considering moving my fiance to BKK in November.

Prachinburi? That's where we live!! ( actually a little village 10K outside )

Buy one off Ebay and send it over via USPS. Most of the time Thai customs are not gunna hammer you.. like getting rain in Arizona 50/50.

( We're heading back in March, next time you're there, let me know and we can have a brew at a Hornbills game! )

Yeah..the closest to her would be the Apple "booth" at Future Park in Rangsit.

( what Tamboon is she located in, if I may ask. We are in Nernhom )

Pui and her roommate lived near the new airport in Bangkok and the last apartment she lived in cost around 4000 baht but had no air conditioning, was also a women's apartment. Her apartment before that cost 3200 baht a month no air conditioning and was a woman's apartment but was made so anybody could live there. She still has many friends who live there or lives very close if you need the names or phone numbers of apartments there.
