Central World Shopping Mall destroyed by fire =>

http://www.thaivisa....al-t366997.html

Sickening. What does a shopping mall have to do with their cause?

The human cost will be felt broadly and deeply as this can't be hidden from prospective tourists.

Devastating for hard-working Thais that depend on the tourist industry.

Jobs will be lost, lives will be ruined and not just regarding those who worked in and around Central World.

It's beyond word, how I feel.... I HATE HATE HATE people who did this to our country.. including those who think being 'neutral' or 'lets talk' people and not knowing what's really going on.

The Siam cinema already collapsed, central world is next...

Reading the comments on the news, some stupid people still think that the govt lies about the fire and praise people who destroy the country... my gosh, they should get wipe out of genes pool!

Can anyone call to Thailand now? Been trying to call the wife all morning and nothing..........anyone reports of ####### going on in Surin/Buri ram?

I'm sure the riots are not as bad outside of BKK.. I'm talking to my sis on MSN and she's in the middle of BKK (Victory monument, near the palace) she said she couldnt get out of the house right now coz it's so close. I really hope she can leave BKK and go to out parents in Chonburi soon...

Dear forum members and readers,

To keep this web site available due to extremely heavy traffic, we need to temporally shut down our online forum for a short period.

We apologize for any inconvenience we caused you.

Observation:

The Bangkok Post has closed it's "subscriber forums" until further notice.

I tried clicking on the links in the forum window, especially about the farang being killed in Pattaya.

All of the links are still there but they are all dead ends, with the nonsense excuse of "heavy traffic."

Translation: "we are experiencing technical difficulties because we can't risk displaying public opinion."

Question =>> Has anyone seen an outside source with reports on what has happened in Phuket?

Good. Let them burn EVERYTHING in the provinces. That's where they came from. If they want do burn down their own homes, so be it. Good luck getting a replacement ID card for the ones they gave to the red guards on the way to Bangkok since they are burning the very offices that replace them while putting govt. workers out of work. These scum have no shame.

I know some people have some sympathy for them and their plight, but burning down the capitol is no way to achieve their goal. As for the protest leaders, give them the rope. All the while Mr. T shops in Paris and claims to have nothing to do with it. Kinda reminds me of Nero playing his violin while Rome burns.

My wife is telling me that they paid one of her mom's friends 700 THB to go to Bangkok for the mess. She's in her 60's and needed the money, so she went. This loosely resembles Jonestown IMO with all the constant speeches and loud speakers. The boogeyman is coming to get you etc.

I have an ex-monk friend (used to exchange English/Thai here in NY) who is now back in Thailand.

I never discussed politics with him but it turns out he is a red.

My wife chatted with him last night and said he is still crazy, still firmly in the red camp.

She said it was something to do with objections to the government/king

controlling who got to be head monk.

It kind of surprised me because the guy was my friend, but I had actually

read a lot about that (monks & politics) in the past history that was laid out

in "The King Never Smiles." There were often controversies about that in the past.

Any Thai VJ member know more detail about that?

I'm applying for Montenegrin citizenship just in case I get stitched up here in the US.

http://www.mip.gov.me/en/index.php/Visa-Information/contacts.html

I'll see how it goes. I don't have Thaksin money, but the police in Texas have been oppressing me for awhile. I'm sure I will get approved based on that.

I posted a couple links to VJ for DCF and the Thai forum to help this guy out. One of the Nazi moderators removed it. I guess it would take business away from Sunbelt, one of their biggest advertisers. Glad things aren't like that around here.

Received SS card 2009-03-17

Received GC 2009-04-01

Done for 3 years or 10 years. Haven't decided yet.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

"Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, the wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"

Note:

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)

Welcome to the USA!!!
