The multi-color shirt is not the yellow shirt. I am not a yellow shirt and I would join in the gathering of the multi color everyday if I could. It's mostly people from a facebook page against the dissolving of the government so basicly, against the reds. The gathering was first intended to show that the Bangkokian were not in support with the reds as they claimed. then people heard news and started to come out and joined them. They sing national antham, the king songs and some other songs to show thir love to the King, then go home.

The incident in Silom... those people who came out trying to protect their business so that the reds cannot closed the road as they did at Ratchaprasong. Most are residents or work there, they have rights to protect their place of work / living from being ruined. They were also attacked by 5 M76 fired from Soun Lumpini which was where the red shirts gathering occured. They also were shorts with marbles, nails and those stuff you use with nails on the first night as the reds were not happy that they were somebody against them. The second night, some Silom people also brought those thing too.

Last night the reds thow car tires on BTS tracks causes the whole system to be shut down for safety. They closed roads in various parts of Bangkok and demand to see national ID (from passing people) and if refused, got beat up by them. A car reported to get attacked by the guard swords after ran over the road cone they put on the road. There are several reported gotten beat up by the reds guard as they refused to get searched by them (they searched people walking on the street near their demonstration place, including entrance of Chula's hospital). They closed roads in fron tof Chula hospital, caused lots of trouble for ambulance and sick people. They put tires and gas tank in the middle of the city, near Chula's hospital building ready to blow them up. PEACFUL eh?

Yea yea, they want (terrerist) democratic, i get it.

It was good. Me and my buddy went down to Silom to check out the protests. It was crazy. Once we went up country, everything was cool. Had a good time.

Finally got AOS approval. I was worried about the medical since we just sent in a copy of the DS vaccination form but we ended up with an RFE for her birth certificate. The document from the Amphur stating it was lost and showing witness statements were apparently not enough. They said we needed to send them documentation that it was lost.....

I mailed my congressman who's liaison argued with them for a while about how not all countries have computerized records and not all children everywhere are born in hospitals. Finally the USCIS person just said that they can't do anything until we mail in the blue RFE form. They got it on Monday and approved it yesterday. Dumb, but over

My wife watched the red shirt stuff a lot at first when there were deaths a few weeks ago but after that was over she just said "Thailand's ba" and lost interest. Her attitude seems to be that Thaksin may be corrupt, but no more than every other member of the Thai elite and at least the poor people got something out of the government for once. (I think the extra money flowing north at that time is how she and her sisters were able to go to university). Outside of Thai gossip web sites, she shows little interest in Thailand either way these days though.

I think with Seh Daeng out of the way, and half the red leaders hiding or on their way to London, this thing should collapse pretty quick. Things SHOULD be much clearer in the morning US time. Also, the army has them surrounded. They are running out of options, but #######, so you never know.

Well there went any access to the embassy from Rama IV. Have to find a way from Ploenchit now. God I hope this ends soon.
