Your fiancée could begin to assemble Packet 3 items, so when the time comes to send them to the consulate in order to schedule an interview, she already has them. They would include items such a police certificate (which can take several weeks) and verification of unmarried status (obtained at her home Amphur office).

Some items are not due until the interview itself, which could be several weeks off, but it can't hurt to get them together now. Your fiancée could even complete her physical exam in the time being.

I went over to the Consulate website and since I'm currently in Thailand, I filled their

lengthy info sheet with detailed info on me & her, giving her cell # as the contact and

her address as my address while in Thailand. Also I could honestly choose "frequent

visitor" with the average lengthof stay as 1 month. I also had the opportunity to indicate

we had a K-1 in progress. I don't think this could hurt; anybody else did this?

They're not gonna respond to anything until you get your NVC case number. When you get that, put it in the subject line and then send them an email.

I didn't expect any direct response from that but your suggestion is a great one.

I just got the routine confirmation of my travel registration in my email; granted it has nothing to do

directly with my K-1 but it is just added evidence of being in Thailand in connection with my fiancee.

I posted this in the Embassy/Consulate Area but may get more input from fellow Thailand petitioners.

Please reply over there if you care to. Things moved so quickly from the NVC to BKK that we haven't had

a chance to see if we actually got Packet3 (we are still in Hua Hin) but are trying to contact the Consulate anyway.

Not really a cry for help as we are in a great position, but we hope to complete as much of Packet3 as

possible (with the police report probably being the last remaining step) before I leave Thailand at the

end of the month.
