Frantically coding away trying to finish a contract, to the point of spending all day in my office and ignoring the wife. She basically comes in fills up my ice tea, brings me food, and says nothing. LOL

Sorry to hear that Aaron!

I've been outside in the garden in and out most of today. I just got off a Skype session with the kids in Brazil, first one we've had in about a month. Good to hear and see them

hi All,

i want to ask for help. my fiance is a half thai and half filipino. he was born in Thailand and months after they migrated to USA. my question is... his birth certificate and baptismal is in Thai and the documents are not original. is there any way he can request for an original copy of his birth certificate and baptismal coz he wanted to have it translated in English but according to the translator they won't translate documents unless it is original. Is there any way we can request for original documents thru internet or by calling or whatever rather than flying to Thailand? please help. :help:

Thanks for the reply.

According to another source:

For replacement of Thai birth certificate, you must contact either the office that your parents have registered your birth or go to Information Centre, Wang Chaiya, Nang-leau, Dusit, Bangkok.

There appears to be a website that may provide more information about this, and I think this is a Thai govt site, but it's all in Thai so I hope you or your fiance can read and/or speak Thai. http://www.mahadthai.com.

EDIT: The URL needs a WWW at the start of it. Apparently no one told the webmaster how to properly configure their webserver.

Another option would be to contact the Thai embassy closest to you in the U.S. Maybe they know what to do in this situation.

(I'm going for the IR-1 and blowing off the K-3. Even if it takes an extra couple months, it's worth it to not have to deal with USCIS again)

Please fill out I-130, wait 6 months for approval, then 3 more months for an interview. (Unless of course we've bombed your country into the stone age, then you qualify for expedited processing.)
