If I joke with my fiancée about another woman, she holds up her left hand, palm open, and makes a hacking motion into it with her right hand. Her and I discussed this practice a couple of times after seeing the headline in a Thai rag that the wife of a police officer did that and then fed it to the swans. She confirmed that it happened frequently enough there.

I used to think about that too.. but nahh.. I have other ways to make people life miserable other than fed it to the duck  But it got to be a very very bad case coz I have a very high torerance. But I tend to forgive them before I did anything just for my own piece of mind and that I dont have to create karma that associate me with them again. :innocent:

edit to say : my husband can go to the strip club and I wouldnt be jealous.. I'm not a jealous type at all..

PS. on the road I saw this family throw 2 big bags of trash to the side of the road.. those are the one I'd smack in the face. I kept all my trash in my purse and if I saw new trash being made from other people I walked in and pick it up and stare them in the face before put it in the trash.. make them ashame of them self  but that tactic needs the right time and moment for it to work.

She just says, "I gonna cutting you" That usually gets me in line.

Women from the Northeast region of Brazil (Bahia, Paraiba, Pernambuco, Rio Grande du Norte...) have an infamous reputation for this behavior. Namely, intense jealousy and the revenge instinct to cure their men's infidelity permanently.

The phrase in Portuguese for the women in this area is "garota com um faca" literally 'girl with a knife'.

My ex-wife comes from the Nordeste. I guess I should count myself lucky that I am still around to satisfy my new SO.

Congrats Roi_Aggie!

I guess AAm and I will file for that in a few months...I've been saving 'evidence' in a box for a long time now...and that box is pretty full. I'll have to sort that out sometime this summer...

BTW - I might not have mentioned to you guys that AAm and I are also in the process of bringing her daughter over to the USA. Her daughter (May) is 14. She is a real Angel, just like her mom.

Orginally, we were going to do the 'join-2-follow' with a K2 for May. However, because I changed jobs/moved etc, we weren't able to get our act together enough in that first year to complete May's K2.

So, we started her I-130 about 5 months ago. Its quite a different process...but all is going well. We're about half way through it...but I've not been rushing the process or we'd be several months ahead of where we are now. I haven't been rushing it because of the fact that I travel about 60% of the time for my job...so naturally...things fall behind when I'm on the road. Plus, May is also taking a bunch of English classes to prepare for her new life. She's always spoken English with me...but of course she is shy. So, as soon as AAm came here, May doubled up on her English classes...and her English has improved tremendously over the past 2 years that AAm has been here. She quite the kiddo!

We're now at the point where we need to get May's police report/medical/more paperwork/etc... I suppose I'll work on doing that over this next week. Anyways...so as you can see...we're still doing lots of 'visa-journey' stuff...seems like it might never end <haha>...but that is ok...because I love my two Thai girls (AAm and May)

Other than that...great weather here in Maryland! I don't want to work!

Peace,

MK+JC+AK

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think she needs a police report. I think that is for 16 years old and up.

Scott! Man, do I ever owe you a THANK YOU! I did some research on the website the NVC sent me and sure enough...May won't need a police report because she is < 16 yrs old. Man...you just saved me a ton of headache...because I certainly wouldn't have checked if you hadn't made mention of that fact.

Actually, here is what I 'thought' I had to do to get a police report for May.

1. Fly May and her sister from Chiang Mai to BKK to get the police report.

2. Wait probably a month before they mail it to AAm's house in Chiang Mai.

3. Once it arrived, have AAm's sister mail it to my address in the USA.

4. Then I would submit it will all the other documents that the NVC is requesting.

As you can see, that would have cost alot of $$ and also a LOT of time. Now, since you set me in the right direction, I'll be able to finish all of May's paperwork this weekend and send it all to the NVC and they can get it ready for the embassy (Its a different process than K1...NVC does most of the processing with I-130). Anyways...I really appreciate you response! THANKS!

BTW - did your wife call AAm the other night? For those of you who don't know it..Scott's wife and my wife are both from the small village of Doi Saket, which is about 18 kilometers outside of Chiang Mai). Aam had a missed call on her cell fone from about about midnite one day last week, which would have been 11pm in Big D. The missed call had a Big D area code so I told her it might have been your wife...since they've spoken before. Anyways...when AAm lived in Thailand, she was on the phone all hours of the day and night...but now that she's been in the USA for 2 years, she is a kinda 'Americanized' and basically turns the phone off about 8pm <hahahaha>

If it was your wife, then tell her that AAm will call her back...AAm just wanted me to ask you if it might have been her. Also, I told AAm about the hard time that your wife was given in the Big D by the BKK Thai women...AAm really understood what she must be going through and told me to tell you let her know that she'll be fine in some time...it gets easier!

Interestingly enough, when AAm first moved here two years ago, I really thought that I had to get her in with any people of Thai decent in our neighborhood...and there were quite a few...and AAm did like being around them. However, when we moved 8 months ago from Detroit to DC, AAm told me, "I don't want you to find me any Thai people this time. If I meet some Thai people then ok, but now I am living here I want to not be around just Thai people...and...besides...Thai people TALK TOO MUCH...too much gossip!" <HAHAHAHAHA> She really cracked me up. ;-)

We're still planning a Big D trip this summer. See you guys then! We'll probably make a run up through Amarillo also...I have family there too (My two kids - 19 & 21 - both at the university there...same one Dad went to...West Texas A&M!

Peace Brother Scott, and thank you so much for your help! One less 'Police Report Hurdle' I'll have to jump...(thank god...!)
