Case temporarily refused

My fiancé had interview last week. Consular provided him a letter stating that case has been temporarily refused for further administrative processing. Any one please explain me what that means.. ?

It means that you must wait for background checks before they will issue the visa. No one knows how long it will take.

Administrative Process is very common for applicants from Pakistan. Both men and women are put through this process and your case is not 'refused' refused but the Embassy will wait to release their decision on the status of the visa until the name checks etc are completed. Also, there is no time limit to these checks. Depending on how common your fiance's name is and whether it raises any flags, one can only hope for a swift process.

yup it's very common. alot of guys around 95% of them are held back 'coz of this stupid AP.

look at me i've been waiting to get an answer for my husband for past 6 months and yet still waiting. the timing is different for everyone. i've seen ppl out of AP as little as 2 months but some have been waiting for more than 6 months and even a year. so GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!1
