I just spoke with an Egyptian friend of mine and asked his perspective of things. He told me that the people protesting are also doing some of the looting. Basically taking advantage of the situation to get some freebees. I kind of figured as much.

So sorry that you all are having to deal with this instability in addition to the stress of the visa process!! I'm praying for you!!

Have any of you checked to see if your process can be expedited due to the current crisis?

August 23, 2010- K1 papers sent to CSC

August 30, 2010-NOA1

January 26, 2011-NOA2

March 7, 2011-Interview--Approved!!

March 11, 2011-Visa in hand

March 22, 2011-Arrived in the US!!!!!

August 22, 2011-Filed for AOS

November 25, 2011-EAD in hand

December 02, 2011-Green Card in hand

I just seen a video of a police vehical that drove very fast through a crowd of men running over several of them. Im very suprised CNN shows it and it made me sick to my stomach.

I've heard several of the journalists report that the concern is that the effort is to stop the journalists covering and filming because of the even worse violence that is to come by the pro Mubarak supporters.

From what I saw on cnn, state dept correspondent indicating state dept saying off record the attacks on journalists have been orchestrated, organized, and supoorted by Ministry of Interior.

I just seen a video of a police vehical that drove very fast through a crowd of men running over several of them. Im very suprised CNN shows it and it made me sick to my stomach.

I saw video of a fire engine doing the same thing.

Yah we saw that just now also! I have someone on FB that got alot of first hand pictures of scenes in Alex. A couple are graphic and I wish I didnt see them but its whats happening there.

I tried to copy and paste a picture that I thought was touching, but it wouldn't work.

It's on Al Jazeera's blog & the caption reads that "Christians and others" who weren't praying locked arms & formed a human shield around those at jumar in Tahrir Square earlier today.

Hello Everyone, I have a question... Are the people of Egypt getting to see all the television coverage as we are seeing here in America? OR Are some of what is happening blocked to the viewers there? Your thoughts on this please. Thanks

I know my fiancee sees most of what I see, but not on state run television. He has had to keep finding Al Jazeera as the government has blocked or scrambled their frequency several times.

Passing harsh judgment on those you don't know says nothing of the judged and everything of the judge.
