Hi, At 6pm I was talking with Hany and the connection was lost as I watched the news I saw the internet would be disrupted until they decide to let ppl use it again... My guess is it could still be off on Friday 1/28.. I wanted to post this so the ppl here would know why their loved one's in Egypt wasn't able to be online. I hope all will be calm again and things settled there. May God Bless Egypt

Yep all of egypt is without internet and it is possible they will lose phones before it is all over. So sad that it has to happen this way. I was just happy i got to hear my husbands voice.

He reached his mom at his grandmothers landline. It was great to hear her voice but when I asked her if she was ok...she said No Tamara I am not ok, its very bad here, its very bad. :(

I don't believe the phone lines(landline)are completely out. At least not across the entire country. My husband was able to get through to his family. So far, they are unaffected by this whole situation, thankfully.

It's been a very lonely worry filled day for me. I am used to talking to Hany all through the day. A curfew is in place in Egypt until 7am, so I hope all will be safe. Last I spoke to Hany he said it was horrible there, with fires, cars being broken and police and ppl everywhere. I am keeping updated through CNN News. I pray everyone who has their love or family there can soon be in touch with them. This is very sad for all of us. Thanks to the VJ'rs who wrote the kind words. I hope after the President of Egypt speaks things will calm down there. Remember to keep Egypt in your thoughts and prayers. Keep us updated here to let us know if you got through to your loved one's plzzz , Thank You
