Fiancee does not have an immunization record

My fiancee in the Philippines does not have an immunization record or record of any vaccines or shots she's had since childhood. She has had them when she was school aged as the schools administered them but there is no record of them. How will this affect us in our quest for a visa for her and what will they do for her at the Medical Exam for this situation. Anyone have any experience with this condition?

She should get a titre/titer test. That will show what she is vacinated for. She will needs shots for anything missing.

Wont affect K-1 visa issuance, however will be required later to adjust status.

Many simply get re-vaccinated with the required vaccinations.

Age 18 - 64 are required to have:

• MMR
• Td
• Variccella (AKA Chicken Pox)
• The FLU if in season

In many foreign countries this costs less over there than in the USA.

Will then need to get this record transcribed to the correct DS form when doing medical overseas, or get this record transcribed to I-693 in the USA for adjustment of status..

My wife didn't have a record either. So at the medical appointment they will give her a TB test and tell you what vaccines she needs. The county health department (or equivilent) can give her the shots and provide a record for a fee. Thanks for all the quick replies. We are not scheduled to get NOA2 until late March this year, according to the current timelines, so she will have plenty of time to get and exam for what she needs and get them before her Medical Exam for her interview. We're just trying to get ahead of the game a little. This information sure helps!

That's exactly what I did. My doctor suggested giving me all the shots again except chicken pox (coz it's expensive and painful and many people do not realize they actually had chicken pox before). Then he sent me for blood test and found that I actually had chicken pox before (probably very mild coz I didn't remember and my mom said I did not have one). Then he wrote me a doctor note stating I have had all the required shots.

Don't worry, alot of people from the Philippines don't have one and the SLMC will just administer most of them for free on the 2nd day of the medical. I have seen some girls get 4 at a time. Thank goodness I had my record. But my point is just that it wont be an issue there at all
