Biometrics Appointment - NE

Good morning!

*Just to give you all a quick background, my husband (TN Visa, Mexico) and I (USC) are applying for an AOS.*

He received his biometrics appointment letter with an appointment scheduled at the Omaha office. He has a work meeting scheduled for that same afternoon and doesn't know if it would best to:

1. Reschedule the biometrics (as the work meeting can't be changed), or

2. Try to make it back in time for the meeting after the appointment.

Does anyone know approximately how long the procedure takes at the Omaha office? Do they do walk-in's? Or would he be better off showing up to his scheduled appointment a little early? I'm worried that if we reschedule the whole appointment, it may be put off until the following month!

I understand each office and case is different, but if you have any experience with the Omaha office or a recommendation as to what would be the best course of action, I would greatly appreciate it!

Thank you so much!

You have 2 options:

1. you may try to do ean earlier walk in at your office. Some offices allow that to happen if they are not busy.

2. forget about work and rescheduling a bio appointment and show up on the day and time indicated on your letter.

Otherwise, your process could be delayed and that's not gonna be just for 1 month.

Thank you for your quick response, juliava.

His meeting is scheduled exactly one hour after the scheduled time of the biometrics appointment, so I was wondering approximately how long the procedure takes to see if it would be feasible to proceed with your second option (as missing his meeting is absolutely not a possibility).

I wasn't sure if anyone here has dealt with the Omaha office to relate their experience, or knows about walk-ins. I've seen walk-ins mentioned in other posts referencing other offices, so just thought I'd check to see about Omaha but it seems I may be out of luck!

Thanks!
