The difference between you and Lucas is that his AOS bill and IV bill were generated together meaning that they should probably be sent together. If you don't have a lawyer agent and your bills were generated at different times, then you can send them together or separately, whatever you prefer as the IV packet is the most important and the actual application for the visa. Do what's firstly required and secondly what's best for your situation. :)

Yes position and annual income.

No not necessary. The barcode proves that you paid.

Thanks a lot 'sarah et luc' for your quick response.

What is CC? I did not get it. Thanks

CC means Case Complete. It's when your case is done at NVC.

The only thing that's REQUIRED is the most recent year (2009) of tax returns/transcripts. The employment letter is optional as well as the 2 other years for tax stuff (2008, 2007)

We have sent 2009 and 2010 taxes , co sponsor the same, and as employment letter the email from the company saying the date my wife start the job there and contact details of the company, plus 6 pay stubs. Hope that this will be enough.

07.19.2010 - NOA1

05.23.2011 - POE - LAX

06.01.2011 - Welcome letter arrived :)

06.04.2011 - 10 year GC received by mail :)

Now I am confused. I have not paid IV fee yet. I was planning to send AOS today. What should I do? Send it today or hold till payment of IV? thanks

Since we do not have an attorney, I called NVC and confirmed that you can mail out both packages together, which is what I did....

However, I did put them in separate envelopes with labels outside and I stapled the conversheet to the outside of the envelope.... In addition to the originals I mailed out copies of everything...

I over-nighted it to NVC via USPS, it was expensive $42.00 and It was already delivered and I called this monirning and confirmed that the package has been received, but that it takes more or less 2 weeks for them to go over the entire package... so i'll start calling again by Wednesday of next week....

hope this helps, Mary

You didn't need to wait to pay your AOS bill. You could have sent in your DS-3032 as soon as you got that initial email package from NVC with your case info and the DS-3032.

I only called in yesterday to add our email's to the account information and I got the iin at that time. Checked in on the payment portal and was eligible to pay the AOS. We haven't actually received any emails from the NVC as they were pretty much closed since I called in at 11 eastern.

So I emailed our DS-3032 under the assumption that the packet was already prepared since the AOS payment was available.

And the person i talked to on the phone at the NVC just made the whole conversation awkward.

CS rep: How may i help you?

me: I was told we can add email addressees to our account so you can contact us, is that correct.

CS rep: That is correct.

....Awkward silence....

me: Can we do that now?

CS rep: You can add whatever information you like.

....Awkward silence....

me: are you ready?

Just a note, NVC works from 7:30am - 12 midnight, that includes operators and those that review files and send out emails and such, so they weren't technically closed when you closed. But who knows how hard they work once the last hour is left of work.

You should be getting that first email from NVC soon then if you gave emails yesterday. It was 3 business days after I got my case number and gave email addresses for my husband and I to get that initial email. But by the time we had gotten it, we had already submitted the CoA form, paid the AOS, and emailed the AOS.

Since you just sent the DS-3032, it should be accepted early next week and then the IV bill will appear.

Um, wow, very awkward conversation. You think the operator would have gotten the hint that you wanted to add the email addresses without having the two awkward silences. headbonk.gif

There where more awkward silences after that too.

I asked him if he can give me my iin # and he asked "what's an iin?"

I was like umm I don't know you tell me.

Haha. Yeah, when requesting the IIN, make sure you say "Invoice ID (or Identification) Number". Most operators don't know the same lingo we VJers use. I was so tempted to say SIF and CC on the phone with the operator the other day, but held back since I knew they wouldn't know what the f*** I was talking about laughing.gif

He figured it out eventually, I had no idea what it was i looked all over but I couldn't find it. I wasn't sure if it was even iin or 2n because people capitalize the I"s.

Hey All,

Couple Questions :-

1) Do you get an email or something when they send out the forms to you to fill out ? Just Curious. I have already send the forms in and they have them in the bldg.

2) Once they accept it , do you get an email ? Or just SIF and CC ?

I didn't get an AOS package with the forms and instructions. I just got the DS-230 package with instructions (they don't include the form).

You won't get an email for CC. Only those doing EP I believe get this email as it's from NVC's EP email address. The only way you'll know is if you call an operator frequently. And of course, getting a SIF is a really good indication that your case is complete.
