That's great news bro :) How's your son doing?

Thanks Doc......................he has a runny nose and cough right now so I hope it doesn't get any worse before they get home.

I just paid my AOS, does that mean i can send in the DS-3032 now?

You didn't need to wait to pay your AOS bill. You could have sent in your DS-3032 as soon as you got that initial email package from NVC with your case info and the DS-3032.

Just learned from a lawyer that sending AOS and IV packages separately usually cause more turnaround time with NVC than sending them together. I thought it was a two independent track process. Not sure who's right, but know as a fact that so far I've never been disappointed with lawyer's suggestions.

Now I am confused. I have not paid IV fee yet. I was planning to send AOS today. What should I do? Send it today or hold till payment of IV? thanks

How long it will take after entering AOS and DS-230 in the system, to have CC?

After both packages have been reviewed, within a few days. Both my packages were being reviewed on 3/3 and then got a CC on 3/10.

Hi, guys,

Has anyone who had their case forwarded to NVC after 2/23 *not* gotten their case # yet? I hope I'm not the only one in this (sinking) boat!

I just looked at the spreadsheet and there's a handful of people still waiting for case numbers from February.

well, yeah..that may be the case, but why the huge timeline gap between nvc received and nvc left for mostly everyone on that list? They all cant surely be slackers right? Something seems awry at that consulate..

Yeah, I was looking at them closer yesterday and I noticed that too. I have no explanation for that... blink.gif

Did you receive email from NVC regarding choice of agent? You will be able to login as soon as you receive email from them. I had the same issue.

I am only sharing information, not suggesting anyone to do one way or the other. Because we use our lawyer, we did not have the DS-3023 Choice of Agent and received one combined email from NVC with both AOS and IV invoices to be paid. Both were processed and paid at the same time. I, then, thought we could send AOS (as is already ready to be send out) and wait until we gather all docs for IV package, but was told by our lawyer to hold on and send both together as otherwise we will not gain in time, but it would take longer. They have done tons of these cases and can attest to it in terms of timing.

Now I am confused. I have not paid IV fee yet. I was planning to send AOS today. What should I do? Send it today or hold till payment of IV? thanks

I see that peoples that have lawyer get AOS and DS-230 invoices at the same time. For this reason they are able to pay and send both in one envelope in short time. Also I see that waiting time to be impute in the system AOS and DS-230 is about 15 days. I believe(personal opinion) that for this reason the ones that are not using a lawyer should send the papers as soon they will have the cover sheet even if are one at the time. At least is what we did.

The difference between you and Lucas is that his AOS bill and IV bill were generated together meaning that they should probably be sent together. If you don't have a lawyer agent and your bills were generated at different times, then you can send them together or separately, whatever you prefer as the IV packet is the most important and the actual application for the visa. Do what's firstly required and secondly what's best for your situation. :)

Another quick question, Does the employment letter have to state job position? thanks in advance

Yes position and annual income.

Thanks

Do i have to include payment receipt along with cover letter for AOS? Thanks

No not necessary. The barcode proves that you paid.
