Hi guys I have a question.

I just received my AOS processing fee bill invoice $88.

I am bit confuse on the "choice of address and agent" DS-3032. Do I have to sent this document to my father in India and wait him to mail this back to me and than send it back to NVC? Seems it might take long time.

Hi Vishal,

Just do the Electronic Version. Send it via Email. Saves you all the hassle. This form needs to go from your dad. So of course it needs to go out using his email account. I am sure you know that.

You can email the DS-3032 by following this template: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form Much faster.

Thanks Saylin. Can I just scan the form and email it to my father and have him email it back and follow the template.

Here is a guide to follow for all NVC steps http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/How_Do_I_Bring_My_Spouse_%28Husband_or_Wife%29_to_Live_in_the_United_States%3F

scroll all the way down to the bottom, attachment 3 3032 format. Send that email to NVC from your father's email. It is smart though to follow this guide. Have your father print forms 230 and sign them. (only part 1) and collect all needed. Loto's guide is also an Indian referenced guide so it should help you. Be proactive because NVC could go quicker than USCIS if you collect documents quicker. Good luck! :)

Thanks Saylin. Can I just scan the form and email it to my father and have him email it back and follow the template.

He doesn't need to send the form. Just the email template is fine itself. :) So if you know his email log on right now and send it from the link that saylin posted. :)

Dear Sir/Madam:

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC).

We received the principal applicant's DS-3032 (Choice of Address and Agent) form designating an address and agent. Instructions for paying the immigrant visa application processing fee and all future correspondence will be sent to the agent at the address selected on the DS-3032.

For more information regarding the immigrant visa application fee or for answers to frequently asked questions, please visit the following website:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3904.html

We updated the mailing/email address for this case. Please continue to notify the NVC of any change of mailing/email address, or change in personal situation that may affect the principal applicant's entitlement to a visa.

We received the Affidavit of Support Processing Fee payment(s) for this case. You must now download and complete the Affidavit of Support form(s). Please visit the following website to download the appropriate Affidavit of Support form(s) and instructions:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html

If a period of one year passes from the last date of contact with the NVC (by email, telephone or mail), all submitted fees and documents will expire. In that case, your fees will need to be repaid and documents will need to be resubmitted in order to continue the immigration process.

Case Number:

Beneficiary's Name:

Preference Category: CR1

Your Priority Date:

Foreign State Chargeability:

EMBASSY OF THE UNITED STATES, VISA UNIT

how much of an effect do you guys/gals think the recent USCIS approvals of all of these pending cases will have on our completion at NVC? Should we expect even more months of delay due to the increased number of petitions at NVC?

I doubt it would cause much of a delay. Only 36,000 cases were transferred and they weren't all approved at the same time, they've slowly been going to NVC. I'm sure NVC gets thousands of cases per week from Cali and Vermont, so just a few extra from TSC won't make a difference..

Don't worry, there won't be a delay due to the transfers from TSC.

Wow, 5 months? Montreal used to be the same, but they've recently went down to 2 months.
