GOT NVC # but operator did not give the IIN # i dont know why, also my wife specifically asked for it.i asked her to call again for it

Just call again, and for sure another operator will give it to you. Happened to me, and the first 2 operators gave me a bunch of C%##, even saying "you're getting too ahead of yourself.." The 3rd one gave the number like nothing. Good luck!

Have you called during different times? In the morning the people are ready to work. At noon they sound agitated and like they don't want to help you. Around 8pm they're really cool. Around 11:45 they're like "why the eff are you still calling?"

hi...can u pls let me know if ur using I-864 or I-864EZ for affidavit of support? thanks so much..

My husband used the I-864EZ. But you have to meet 3 qualifications, which can be found here: http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3197.html (5th box)

I'd keep calling every few hours if I were you. Some operators for whatever reason don't give it out, while others just give it to you the moment you ask. Depends who you get I guess.

NVC will only accept your DS-3032 once they generate and email you the first package. So it's probably better if you wait till you get that initial email before sending out the DS-3032.

in all honesty, getting the IIN did not help our case at all...we still had to wait for the email from NVC to pay, which included the IIN

7/2/10- NOA1

2/9/11- NOA2 (transferred to Texas)

NVC

2/28/11- case number received

3/2/11- Paid AOS bill

3/5/11- Paid IV bill

3/12/11- expedite to Bogota consulate approved!!!

3/14/11- left NVC to Bogota for further processing

3/17/11- received by Bogota, emailed consulate and was told to send DS-230 and DS-2100 (packet 3)

3/18/11- packet 3 emailed to Bogota consulate, email confirmation on March 23

3/31/11- Interview date! Approved!!!!!!

Keep the faith, everything works out for the very best

Mine too. I got the IIN and Case no. from NVC at the same time. I was unable to login until I got an email from NVC.

Weird. I was able to log in 2 business days after getting our case number (technically it was only one since NVC was closed due to weather the day after we got our case number and IIN) and was able to pay the AOS bill. I only got the initial email (with case number, IIN, DS-3032) the day after my husband paid the AOS fee. Actually, the AOS even appeared as PAID before we even got that initial email. NVC isn't consistent with all cases obviously headbonk.gif

Saylin, may I ask you what documents did you send to NVC? The marriage certificate, of course. The police certificate, probably. What else? I read that some are required to send the birth certificate of the spouse, is that true?

You mean for the IV package? I sent in: bar-coded coversheet from the payment portal, cover letter, two passport pictures (with my full name, date of birth, and case number on back), photocopy of my passport's bio-data page, marriage certificate, my birth certificate, and police certificate.

The birth certificate of the US petitioner is not needed at the NVC step.
