It should be only 1 copy each of AOS & DS-230. During the interview the beneficiary can carry a copy of these, just to be on a safer side.

So, I got kind of impatient & called up the US Counsulate(Madras) to know the further processing on our case. They told me that they have only recieved the electronic format of our case & the paperwork should arrive in 2-3 days & they can onlu let me know only after that. However what surprised me was the fact that, they told me that NVC will schedule our appointment & we need to send the paper work to them. Which is totally contradictory to what NVC had told me!!:blink:

And why should NVC send our case to the Counsulate if they had to do the rest of the process!! Ahh!! :bonk::bonk:

So this means :

AOS file + 1 copy of all AOS(NVC)

Second AOS copy to the interview

DS-230 + 1 copy of all DS-230(NVC)

Second DS-230 copy to the interview

I got it wright?

Did you ask for an expedite? I really doubt they would do it without asking, regardless of what the Alert posted on USCIS website said.

I asked... and even threw in the "active duty military" card too.... NADA !!!

Did you ask on the phone? I have tried but the operator said they don't do expedites!

But maybe email is the charm :star:

ER97SA, you can ask for an expedite at any stage of the VISA process(USCIS/NVC/Embassy). In our case, we tried it staright after we got the NVC case number. Now that NVC & the US Counsulate are giving us contradictory information on the next steps, I'm not sure how this will go forward at this point. Well, hoping for the best. We'll have to wait until we get any further notification either from NVC or Counsulate. :bonk:
