Since you're working with an embassy abroad, you won't have to pay the $88 fee. Read the section 'filing fee' here for the I-864: http://www.uscis.gov...00045f3d6a1RCRD The $88 bill is only for those that didn't get expedited and the AOS is reviewed at NVC.

Thanks Saylin, I think you have a job when you finally get to the states. Open up an Immigration Paralegal office.................

Looks like I (my wife) will pay the $404 at the Embassy but no mention of paying the $88 AOS in any of the documents provided by the Embassy. Read the Packet III & IV two times and did not see it. Fortunately, my insurance will cover her physical.........too bad that wasn't the case when my son was in a remote hospital multiple times.

Congrats Wade... I think 88 dollars apply only if you do it in states , not if you are directly doing at embassy.. so its like DCF now..i think

what's the difference between cover sheet and receipt in its use

Not shore, but I see that only cover sheet must be sent to NVC.Seems to me that receipt is not necessary and someone correct me if I am wrong.

You're correct. NVC only wants the document cover sheet found on the payment portal after a bill appears as PAID.

I have question. I paid IV fee and its shos as paid but I don't have a cover sheet. I only have one cover sheet which is for AOS. Do I use the same coversheet for both AOS and IV? Do i really need a coversheet to send DS-230? Please let me know.

Thank you all!!!

You can select, you have an option to select i beleive, once you check the correct box , you will be able to see the other sheet as well.

HaHaHa............................15 minutes after posting the above, my wife calls and tell me the Embassy called her!!!

She has her interview on March 18th at 7 AM, WoooooHoooooo She is so excited, I had to tell her to slow down because I had no idea what she was saying. She said they have sent her an email as well so i logged into her account and there were three, one for Packet 3, one for Packet 4 and the important one:

Dear Applicant:

Now I have to package the remaining paperwork from my end, review the link that they sent her in an email for the documents that she need to download, print and fill out. I'll have to overnight documents this weekend to Thailand........

I am going to hold off paying NVC for now, looks like I'll have to pay via the Embassy or it will be "overlooked"..................hmmmmmmmm, that would be nice.

Are they really going to be home in a few weeks???

niiiiice, congrats!!!
