did a little research and here is your answer:

1) if you get an email saying this:

"The NVC has received the Agent of Choice selection. The Immigrant Visa

Application (DS 230) processing fee bill will be sent to the designated

agent on the case. The fee must be paid according to the instructions

before the instruction packet will be sent"

OR

2)Your IV fee is invoiced..until the DS-3032 is approved, you cannot pay the IV fee

Got our NVC Case# today!! Got the IIN & Benificiary numbers as well.

Sent out the Choice of Agent Email, however not sure if they would accept it since NVC is closed.

How do you know if they have accepted the Choice of Agent email!??

I wonder the same: how do you know they accepted COA?

And how to find and pay the next bill?

Yes, you can email it. And yup, the first three letters are the embassy/consulate code and then 10 digits. And yup, the IIN is 8 digits.

Another question

How would i know if we can already pay the AOS fee?

I open the NVC website and under the petitioner's name is of course my husband's name, then on the FEE AMOUNT its Blank, then on the PAYMENT STATUS is says " NOT INVOICED"....

does it mean it's still not generated? what would be written there if we can pay for it?

1. Send the COA from the beneficiary's email

2. Pay AOS and send documents (must wait until it shows as paid to send documents)

3. Then they will send the beneficiary this response but CC the US citizen.

The AOS and DSD230 are 2 different tracks. The AOS is invoiced bc it IS from the US citizen. They can't invoice the visa until they know who they will be receiving the documents from in the COA (either beneficiary, US citizen, or lawyer) so it's really important to email that first.

**every time I've received something they've CCed my husband. And when he receives an email from NVC I am the one CCed. So they do contact both the beneficiary and the spouse (and probably the agent too if you are using a lawyer)

Also I would check the site multiple times a day bc for example. I got an email saying you will be the agent in the morning and at night the IV bill was generated. And yesterday they took my $404 dollars early in the morning and wasn't shown as paid until around 3pm (of course).

Hey guys, I haven't been following for a couple of days (and I haven't gone back to catch up yet) because my husband just arrived on Thursday (for a visit...no problems at Dublin POE, by the way!), and on top of that I've just been SUPER busy, but I just called the AVR this morning, and my case number has been assigned! The message said that it was assigned on 2/24/2011.

It also says that to change the beneficiary's address (which we need to do), we should fax the change to them. Has anyone found that this is a reliable method or if there is a better one? Thanks!
