Good morning to all, I am sure this has already been asked/answered, but I couldnt find the thread.

I was approved on 2/16/2011, and I just received my NVC#. so now all i need to do is call NVC and get the IIN(Invoce Identification Number)and thats it. I've read somewhere asking for the beneficiary ID #, is this also correct? and what is this for?

Also, once I get the NVC#, I can submit the DS-3032 form/email and then wait till the invoice gets generated and pay for the fees, or do I need to or do I need to wait for the DS3032 to get approve...

Please help.

congratualtions bookcat1.. how did u received ur NVC# by email or by regular mail

I trie to call NVC several times but its always busy,,

what is that mean

Note: This service requires the use of a touch-tone telephone.

i read it on the nvc website..i'm calling by magic jack phone

there is no even automated voice alwayes busy

Keep trying. Depending what time of the day, you might have to call multiple times to get through.

You need to have a phone that has the keys 1-9 so you can input your CIS receipt number. If you don't have a touch-tone phone then you won't be able to use the AVR.

I have another question! Not surprising, right? :P So I have a bunch of copies of the passport-style photograph that my husband had made to send with the I-130. I'm reading that NVC wants the picture to be taken within the last 6 months, but that photo was taken in July of last year (when I filled out the petition). Do you think if I send another 2 copies of the same photo NVC will reject them?

I Called this morning, entered my WAC # and automatically I was given the NVC #.

Than I spoke to an agent, she re-confirmed the NVC case number & my contact information and my husbands. She already had my emial and my telephone #. I've actually called three times this morning and each time I've waited no more than 10 minutes and spoke to an agent.

I also have my Invoice # and the beneficiary ID #.... and my husband just emailed a PDF copy of DS3032 via emai along with a huge email selecting me as the agent..........Mary

I'm not sure if they'd reject them. I also had a couple copies left over from back in August, but they were the wrong size, so I had to get new ones anyways. If you have a camera and glossy paper, you can do passport pictures by yourself. Just follow the requirements on NVC's site (http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html#photographs), then crop them here: http://www.epassportphoto.com/ The site puts 5 of your pictures (all 2" x 2") ready to be printed on a 4" x 6" picture paper. Super easy and completely free yes.gif

Thank you for the info! The only thing about the new photo I took is that it doesn't capture to the middle of his chest- it's more like slightly above top of head to slightly below collarbone. I'm gonna take a chance and send those in- if it's a problem for NVC I will send in my older ones, I guess.

I think as long as they see the face, it should be good. I don't think they're that picky blink.gif Remember, put the beneficiary's full name, date of birth, and the case number on the back of both pictures!

I hope the person looking at the photos doesn't break out their ruler or anything! Lol, yes, at this moment I am writing on the back of the photos! Saylin, you are super cool ;)
