Oh Saylin what would we ever do without you?! LOL to your "long response time".

I'm the petitioner for my canadian hubby and I have been the ONLY one researching this process and it's a lot of info for only one person to know how to do...then of course having to explain it all to my hubby.

Now if only tomorrow weren't a holiday here, I could get my IIN!

Thanks Saylin, I might be bugging you some more in the next 4 months.

I'm kind of in the same situation as you, but I'm the beneficiary. I've been the one doing all the research. But that's cause my hubby works full-time while I didn't. I just tell my hubby what to do and he does it. "Pay the AOS bill." "Pay the IV bill." "Scan your AOS documents." :)

Yes, too bad today is a holiday :(

Also, don't forget, when you ask for the IIN, make sure you also ask for the beneficiary ID number. This is needed for those doing the online forms. It asks for this number on the DS-261 and the DS-260, so you need to get it!

And bug me all you want! laughing.gif

I received an email from Angela Barrows today telling me that my petition was approved on the 11th (knew that) and was forwarded to the NVC on the 16th (didn't know that). So it looks like cases that were approved by CSC at or around the same time as mine were not shipped right away, just FYI! It was really nice of Angela to give me an update even though I hadn't asked for one since I first emailed her on the 11th.

I emailed Angela on 2/15 but she never replied- do you think she ever will? David Badger did reply (luckily)- do you know if they hold the same kind of leverage at DHS?

And yes, I am still waiting to see what's going on with my case. I'm planning on calling USCIS tomorrow and will attempt to get escalated to a Tier-2 person to see if I can get any more info on when my file will get forwarded to NVC from CSC.

When I do get to NVC I hope you all will help me with any questions I may have!!

David Badger was the person who told me my case was shipped and I received NOA2 hard-copy last week, stating my case was approved and shipped to NVC. I think David Badger is your best hope. What a twist of fate, those who got approval relatively early in this whole process somehow got forgotten about and are worse off than those who did not get approval until much later.

Hi everyone! we got approved on 2/17, so now we are in NVC club.

I have couple of questions, i created topic but not getting lot of responses.

Do i have to have letter of employment with i-864(AOS) or the pay stabs are going to work?

What if i am in the middle of switching jobs, is it going to cause problems?

Please share your opinion.

Thank you

Yeah, tell me about it. Even people who were approved before me have already made it to NVC. I've stopped trying to make sense of it all.

In my experience, Angela has been really awesome with replying to emails (she replied less than an hour after my first email to her, and then sent me an unsolicited update 9 days later). I know some people have had to wait several days for a reply though (and maybe some people haven't heard back at all).

Yours was the case that was accidentally forwarded to CSC instead of NVC, right? When did that happen again? Maybe yours went to NVC with mine on the 16th. I hope you hear something soon!

Jenny, try e-mailing Csc-NCSC-FollowUp@dhs.gov (Cali Service center) and SCOPSSCATA@dhs.gov (main operation center in DC).

I have not e-mailed those yet regarding shipping of my case to NVC yet (I'll give them till Monday) ... mine was approved in CSC on 2/15 though I had not received e-mail stating the transfer ...

I emailed Angela again yesterday so hopefully she replies soon!

Yes, mine was sent back to CSC. David Badger told me about this on 2/16 and I think I might email him again on Friday to see if it's been resolved. Not sure if I should except a USCIS email to confirm this, though. We shall see!

Thank you for this info! I just emailed the CSC and asked if they could let me know if my case has been forwarded. So up to this point I have contacted: Congressman, D.B., A.B., & Cali! Should have my bases covered!

Thanks to all you guys who have helped me out!

So to stop all these, Matt called the NVC several times and asked about writing case numbers on the upper left/right hand corner, the operator again and again said it won't be a problem. So, I hope this answers all our doubts and thoughts. But we can still confirm when we get the CC without RFE on it. Also, the operator also told Matt that their computer system is down now that's why we are not yet seeing a PAID status in our account, just thought I want to share it too. And tomorrow, I am excited for my medical. Thanks to you all! And let's continue to hope and pray for a smooth NVC journey.

God bless us all!

Also, Matt made it clear that we also put the case number on I-864 sheets and the operator said, it is okay and it won't cause any problem. :)

I know in the Philippines, you can do an advance medical if you have the NVC letter with your case number on it. Most countries though require the interview letter.

That's what I was thinking, thanks, Saylin! Please stick around on the thread for a while longer because I will probably have many more questions about this process! I need your brain lol
