As someone said "Wednesday is a great day" :) I love Wednesdays now :D

Oh ya, 6-8 weeks is a common timeframe for NVC. The operators have timeframes as well. "Please wait 20 business days for a package to be reviewed." But it's all lies laughing.gif They just want to cover their behinds if something goes wrong. You're smart to not believe them ;)

hehe yes, they want to have some time for themselves LOL

Maybe that's just for additional sheets. I would still put the case number as well though. I doubt it would hurt.

In correspondence I got from NVC, they state:

To avoid processing delays when returning documents to the National Visa Center:

Write the applicant's case number in the subject line of the e-mail when applicable, AND in the

upper right-hand corner of each page of every document.

• DO NOT send documents for ANY OTHER CASES attached to an e-mail.

• DO NOT send information for ANY OTHER CASES in the same envelope unless the NVC's

letter is attached to the front of each case's documents

Awesome, thanks! I am trying to breathe and to focus on these forms as I wait...AND my husband has yet to receive his military record. Who knew Paraguay made it such a pain to get it! Anyway, fingers crossed! David, save me!! lol

Tuesdays are my good days: approval, case number received, and sent the last document to NVC. Now if I can a CC by next Tuesday... :D

And thanks ;) I love the bear my hubby sent for Valentine's :D

Yes, definitely a good idea to start with the forms while you wait. Once you get your number, NVC is gonna fly, so you should try as much as possible to have everything ready ahead of time. Then as soon as the bills appear as PAID, you can send off the packages. :D

You can if you want to. Just make sure they're clearly marked with one being the AOS package and the other being the DS-230 package. I've seen many people send in both in the same package and they were fine.

Saylin, did you mail your Choice of Agent form instead of emailing it? I have a signed hard copy but I was going to just email it. What do you think?

I was wondering the same thing myself. My husband signed a hard copy of this for me, but it was like months and months ago, so we decided not to date it. I don't know if it's OK for me to date it myself or if I even have to send a hard copy when the time comes. Someone posted this link the other day:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_5165.html

It says the following:

"The visa application process requires several exchanges of correspondence between the National Visa Center (NVC) and the parties to each petition.

The NVC recommends electronic mail (e-mail) as the fastest and most reliable way to communicate. To establish e-mail communication, an applicant, agent, or petitioner can simply send a request by e-mail to nvcinquiry@state.gov. The message must include:

* NVC case number entered in the subject line of the message

* The full name and date of birth of the principal applicant

* The full name and date of birth of the petitioner

* The names and e-mail addresses of all persons who are to receive correspondence from the NVC

The NVC will then stop sending paper letters and instead send e-mail messages to the e-mail address(es) provided in the request."

So it seems like an email is good enough?

I did neither. Since I live in Canada, we're required to do online forms, one of which is the Choice of Agent. If I didn't do the online forms though, I would have just done the email one with this template: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Ohhh, I see! I think I will go ahead and email it and if for some reason it doesn't go through I will mail it overnight or something. Thanks! And thanks, Jennie Ann!

One question for DS-230 regarding to Marriage Certificate:

Does everybody sends the original certificate?

We are from Turkey, Is there any forms that we can get from Turkish Nufus Mudurlugu

instead of sending the original marriage certificate to NVC?

Does anybody used at NVC

Uluslararası Evlenme Kayıt Örneği (Formul B) as Marriage Certificate

which sound like In Germany an accepted.

Does it or any other certified doc work or everybody sends the original?

Thanks

ES
