Well I guess they really did lose our files. After we got checklists saying they didn't have our files we figured they just hadn't processed them yet, but we called again today and were told they had no record of them and that we should send them again. So, great, I guess that pretty much resets our processing time at NVC and now we get to wait another four weeks to see if they can manage to find our emails and look at them.

That is CRAZY!!!! Did someone at NVC sign for the packages? If so, maybe you can send them again and request an expedite, just provide proof that they were signed for.

Well, we are doing electronic filing, so we sent our files by email and we received confirmation emails that they had been received and would be "reviewed and uploaded to our electronic case file". However, the confirmation emails were from "National Visa Center, Written Inquiry Unit, Serco Inc., Support Contractor." I don't know what happens to the emails once they get to the contractor, so who knows at which point our files got fumbled. Hopefully it will work out this time.

Anyway, this sure is tedious. It would be nice if they'd get right to our files this time and check them out, but I'm not holding my breath.

I would request an expedite and include the confirmation emails. All they can say is "no", in which case, you won't be any worse off.

The same thing happened to me. I had originally sent my AOS package by email on Feb 4 and my IV package on Feb 8. On Feb 25, the operator said they still had not received my packages, so I was told to re-send them as well. I'm thinking it's because I sent them before my optin was accepted. Looking back, I should have re-sent my packages as soon as I got that optin acceptance; it would have saved a week. Anyways, within a week of re-sending the packages, NVC was reviewing them and a week later I had a CC. So hopefully your CC will be soon.

That's Great news, Wade. I'm glad they are finally here... sorry about the Immigration/Customs agents. Did she flight straight in to LA?

6 days and 10 hours until our interview... but who's counting

Thanks bro...............

Direct flight from Bangkok to LAX, only 15 hrs. Last night was the first night that they were able to sleep so I'm hoping their internal clocks are not calibrated!

Our son has his 1st Dr. appt in a couple hours, he's getting a complete checkup!!

Good luck to the rest of ya!!

PS we have been tracking packages via DHL for Cyprus and 3 in the same week, guess which one is ours - the last one  - should deliver tomorrow morning, cutting it close but we have everything ready to go to interview - I can tell our fellow Cypriots who were shipped out from NVC on the 11th and 12th that your packages have been delivered and confirmed by us... we got a little ahead of ourselves on this one

I called yesterday again to check if they have both of the files in their system and to my surprise I found out that the file that I had sent on the 18th was not in the system. Last week they had told me that they had it. The operator asked for a supervisor to take a look at it and for me to call back if I don't hear anything by Friday. I'll call tomorrow as I am starting to become impatient!

I re-sent them in 2 emails. You're not supposed to send them in the same email.

I wanted to make sure cause when you mail instead of e-mailing you can send both packages together. I wish I had sent both of them at the same time. If I resend them now its going to cause more confusion. I will wait till Friday to see what happens.

Yeah, I know you can send the two packages together by mail, but I remember reading somewhere a long time ago that for email, you should only send one package in each email. Just wait till Friday and if you don't hear anything, then just resend it. When I re-sent both packages, I made a note of when I had originally sent the package (date and time). It's not required, but just in case if it helps them in any way.
