Finally after 3 months at Nvc after they lost my emails, SIF!

But, is it weird that the NVC email response that said my case was completed had a completely different case number in the subject l line?

It wouldn't surprise me that they mixed up my case with someone else's...

Congratulations to everyone who got approved! I received my visa yesterday :) Packing now!

My wife passed her interview on May 9th. She's waiting for her passport in the mail now.

greencard and welcome letter came in the mail today for my wife, no more things from immigration for two years...WOOHOO!!! :) The new greencard is pretty crazy...very sophisticated and pretty neat looking.

Finally Finally, my wife is with me now. We are so relieved. When I saw her at the airport, that was the most relaxed and happiest moment of my life. Thanks to everyone for all the advices and support. You guys are awesome.

Wow I'm sooooo happy to see my fellow VJ'ers approved and uniting with their loved ones! This has been quite a journey. Congrats to you all, the end that many felt was never going to come finally showed up! lol

I'm hoping to hear some good news in the upcoming weeks. Hopefully they don't lose my emails agains :blink: (however that happens). Although I wont be moving until the end of the summer, I still just want this process to be over.

For those who may remember me!

Our petition was approved back in late Feb, after a RFE. We were transferred officially in early March to the NVC. As soon as I could, I paid the fees, and sent in all the documents needed. We got a RFE for original Birth Certificate and original Marriage License, since they are not in English. We sent those off, and last week our case was closed at the NVC. Today we got the fantastic news that we have an interview at the embassy scheduled for June 15th.

We are both so happy. I have to say thank you to all of the people here. I feel like a broken record, but you all helped me in so many ways, with knowledge, education, and moral support. We all went through the same disaster of our government losing our applications, but in time, they finally did most all of us right. If there is anything I can do for any of you, send me a message. Never use a lawyer! They are ripoffs! They do nothing for you, and only charge you for something you can do yourself!

Finally coming close to the end of this journey, I decided to do something just for fun: figure out exactly how much time my husband and I have spent together and apart.

Start date: November 16, 2008 (beginning of our relationship)

End date: June 9, 2011 (date of POE, as long as everything goes right!)

Length of relationship: 935 days

Time spent together: 486 days

Time spent apart: 449 days

We have spent nearly as much of our relationship apart as we have together. When I think of this and how much we appreciate and enjoy each other, how we never take each other for granted, and how even this process has not once made our relationship waver in the least, I feel very grateful to have found the one person with whom – no matter what we have to go through – it is always worth it.

There's no specific purpose to this post other than to share my thoughts with the people who have gone through this unpredictable and difficult journey with me. TSC refugees, we're finally making it through!

Woke up to another RFE. Hooray!!! :dance: ........NOT! :bonk:

*sigh* I don't have much else to say. I'm just annoyed right now. I guess if I was in a rush to leave then this would be really really upsetting, but I'm just going to hand it what they are asking for and not stress myself out. Everything happens for a reason and everything will fall into place at the right time. I just can't believe I'm still going through this process. It will be a year soon that I've been going through this process. :(
